Hi, I am probably addicted to Beam.NG.drive, because it's the greatest game/simulation program I have ever found.
However... As of lately (the past month), the game has become (almost) unplayably unstable. When I am customizing a vehicle using the parts selector, it makes it most of the way through a full list of parts swapping until the program crashes, exiting to Windows. As one can imagine, this is discouraging but doesn't stop me from trying to play it.
It seems like the trigger is mainly swapping parts. After swapping 10 to 20 parts, I can usually predict that the game will crash. It happens more often with high-FPS maps, and less often in garage mode. I have sent buckets of bug reports using Beam.NG's built-in crash reporting system, so hopefully those will provide some useful information to the developers.
Also, I'm running this on a pretty low-budget Intel i5 laptop that barely runs it. I'm a poor college student who can't afford better lol. If this is a universal bug, it would be great to see a fix, but if it's just from my machine, oh well. I'll have to live with it then.

(There is also an occasional bug in which after swapping some parts, the vehicle doesn't render until restarting the game. I've seen that post in the bug reporting section, and I mention that because it could be related).
    Thanks

Pretty sure it's your laptop, beamng is a very resource intensive game. If you don't have very good hardware there's not much you can do besides turn the graphics settings down and that really only helps you gpu. Try clicking the clear cache button on launch and see if that helps anything. For now there's not really anything to do besides get a better computer.

I was afraid of that. Clear cache actually increased the number of crashes.
