There is no dynamic steering by default (all dynamic steering does is change the max lock). You're thinking of smoothing, which prevents you from turning at an unrealistically fast rate and breaking the steering. We do plan to make it adjustable in the future.

The Civetta is alot better now than it used to be. Almost drives like a car now! ;)

The thing that gets me with most of the cars is that the steering seems very "slow". What I mean is that you need to use alot of input to get any useful turning out of it. This makes normal driving on a road hard work since you have to turn the wheel so much, often overcompansating in the process. Combined with the somewhat "laggy" nature of the tires (it feels liek they have a very long pneumatic trail) and the ceneral "squishyness" of the suspension and body you are constantly chasing the steering.

In a real car you usually use minute steering input to keep the car on teh road, even in pretty severe situations. On track I never use more than 90 degrees of lock even in hairpins, and on the road hardly ever more than 180 degrees unless I'm parking.

Another thing is that you can't feel g-forces or the slight changes in the car under you like you can in a real car.

It could be that there is no rear wing to create down-force on the back wheels causing it to violently swerve all over the place due to lack of grip.

4WD End Of Topic.... At least if you are using the 4WD version

I'm not quite following you on that one. Do you mean the pickup does what it does because it's 4wd? Well yes of course, I wasn't trying to compare them I suppose. And the bolide does what it does because it's not?

True, but the Bolide handles almost the same it it's custom AWD form. And even with extensive suspension testing and modification (sway bars, coils, shocks, tires), 'the veer' is still present.

In the end, I could care less. I never drive the Bolide, even the AWD version. Now that I have an AWD Moonhawk, I'm pretty happy lol.

I thought I noticed something with the Bolide handling. With the latest update it seems far less likely to veer violently to the left at 120mph, which was honestly my main complaint (handling wise) with the vehicle. I don't mind the slidiness all that much, it makes it a super fun drift missile! ;) Maybe flesh out the customization options with wider, low profile tires, a stiffer suspension, a functional wing and/or air dam (I remember estama saying you guys simulate aerodynamics based on collision triangles) and offer it as a "track package"? For whatever reason (most likely my OCD) it bugs me that the Bolide is the only official vehicle with no alternate parts/configurations.

A bar that connects you're left and right suspension together. Helps keep your car from leaning in corners.

'93 accord, like most cars only has one in the front end, and it snapped. I just took it out all together. Tracks perfectly fine, even on our rough B.C roads on windy days. I just need to be careful in corners even at normal speeds a tap of the brake will send the back-end loose. Happened a few times, skid marks to prove it xD

sway-bars have nothing to do with steering, there is no reason for a car to dart left or right. They just control the lean, to corner flat and help maintain traction while in the corner. They don't start corners. If anything they can make a car less stable over bumps. They constrict suspension movement.

As for the the Bolide being ridiculous to drive, it is. It will simply just start to corner and slide, even on the perfectly smooth, windless grid. If you pay close attention all of the vehicles, they all have the same problem, it's just most noticeable on the Bolide, but it's an alpha, honestly, I can't believe the game is as amazing as it is right now.

i actually have found the source of this issue; it is the frame of the car. the chassis is not rigid enough, and the suspension is too soft. this makes the vehicle tip to one side causing it to turn at lower speeds, and topple, even flip at higher speeds. add on the fact that there is no form of stability control, and you have a very unstable car.
this was all checked by a mechanic and is true

I fixed the veering by softening the tire tread and giving the front wheels more toe out. I also stiffened the anti-roll bars a bit. So no, it's not because the chassis isn't rigid enough (in fact, the Bolide has the most rigid chassis of any vehicle in the game). These fixes are coming in the next update.

same here, of course, i use a steering wheel, so thats probably cheating, seriously though, even the airplane version of the bolide is quite controllable (surprisingly, i thought it would have been horrible to control)

I find the bolide has no concept of forwards, it may have been dropped as a baby

EDIT: Of course having seen the banner and jumped with joy at what gabester has said about the bolide in the next update, I am well aware it will improve

The cars all handle appropriately. Some may not be a hundred percent accurate however based on my thorough driving experience (which exceeds beyond more than one million kilometers in a wide assortment of vehicles), the driving experience in BeamNG Drive resembles very much to the behaviour characteristic of a real car. It's not a perfect duplicate of reality but it's damn close. I believe that the people who complain about the Bolide's handling must have absolutely ZERO driving experience in reality.

I play with keyboard and I have little trouble with driving the Bolide. It honestly is impressively difficult to control it but even in reality driving such a car with the foot down would be a scary challenge.

Also, please keep in mind there are significant handling improvements coming in the next update. The veering problem is gone, the tires track better, and it just handles more sharply and predictably than before. There's also the new Bolide 320 which has less power (the old standard Bolide becomes the 350 GT). With 90 horsepower gone and the handling finely tuned for a lot more power, it's really easy to drive and quite fun :) Still reasonably fast - 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds.

Keep the car wild and loose. She's fun like that. For all the NFS kids you can make them a ricer version with huge spoilers, ridiculous grip and less power. Call it the Bolide Type-R ;)

And also, how am I supposed to crash the car if suddenly it handles good?!
