Hello, Some old rare racing games such like Viper Racing had a special camera view that shows the wheels and the suspensions. I liked this view so much a I wished that some newer racing games have this kind of view. I discovered on BeamNG.drive that is can be reproduced by using the vehicle customization to hide all other parts, placing the relative camera close to the wheels and hide the UI to drive. Since those parts are modeled separately, I think this is entirely possible to make a camera mode on it. (without having to position the relative camera and hide the whole UI to drive) The purpose on this is to have a clear view of the road while watching the physics of the suspension, but also having a better sense of your position on the road and your clearance around corners. I finds this view very useful. I made a little video showing how it was on Viper Racing and how I reproduced in BeamNG.drive
that game actually looks really cool, And I totally agree with the idea. The closest thing i could think of is to spawn a car without a body on it (frame and engine/suspension only) and use the relative camera to get the angle you desire. Edit: Should've watched the whole video before posting XD
