Description: Just a little project I've been fiddling with. It's great for taking screenshots and videos. If you get creative, you can add props and meshes and make sick looking scenery. Screenshots: Installation: At the bottom of this post, download lightroom.zip. Drag that file into Documents / Beamng.Drive / Mods. Important Information: When you load the map, if everything is super bright, adjust your minimum luminance in the options, Ctrl+O (As seen below). Feel free to use this in all your videos and stuff, but if you can, I'd love for this thread to be linked in the description. Also, if I see this on some sketchy Russian mod site, I'll be pretty mad. So yea, don't do that. Lightroom0380.zip is for the new update. HUGE thanks to PrzemekWolw for fixing this! Remember to disable Dynamic Reflections
That sounds like that would work, but the thing is, I have no idea how to do that. Do you have any experience in that?
I found a way to activate beautiful reflections on this map. (version 0.3.8.0) Method 1: Tutorial: 1. Disable Dynamic Reflection 2. Open BeamNG in Windows Mode 3. Launch editor (F11) 4. Select the our car 5. Open material editor (F4) 6. Select car material (for example sunbrust) 7. In layer0 go to Advanced tab and select cube map reflection. 8. Click edit and select BNG_Sky_02_cubemap 9. Save it. 10. Done NOTE! This method disables the Dynamic Reflections on all maps! How to turn back Dynamic Reflections? It's very easy! You must delete two folders in C:\users\you_username\documents\Beamng.Drive Folder vehicles (not in cache) and vehicles in cache. And must enable Dynamic Reflections in Options. Method 2 (recommended): You must download this fixed map and disable dynamic reflection in options. This method is faster and more effective than method 1
Re: Photography/Cinematography Lightroom/Showroom Please, add something on the ground. That's looks unrealistic without it. (Just an old Photo Room screenshots)
@defib - Any ideas what's wrong w/ lightroom0380.zip from the OP? There is an unwanted glow around the horizon. This unwanted glow disappears (turns black) when I make any change to the scattersky object in the editor, but even after saving that change it comes back when the level is loaded again next time.
Not sure. I haven't touched this in over a year. Feel free to mess around and re-release if you'd like!
Thanks defib! I already took a pretty close look at it myself and can't figure out the problem. I'll go cry "help!" in the Mod Support sub-forum soon, then report back here if we get something working.
Looks like the latest game release has fixed the issue I was experiencing. Now the map functions fine and the only error is that forest error, which can be eliminated by removing the forest datablock from the *.mis file. Why not do that and then submit it to the repository? I think people would appreciate it.
Ah, I take it back. Latest game hasn't fixed it - apparently the symptom can be cured by removing the forest.
