I kicked my pc becuase I got excited when I beat a level in besiege. One of the power connectors on my gtx 960 came loose and my display went black, but it still got a signal. I figured it out a hour later. I was so scared. I thought I had broken my new 200 dollar gpu that I just got

Dang. How hard did you kick that thing? Those power connectors have clips you have to squeeze to get out. This is the reason I keep my pc on my desk :p

Pretty hard. About as hard as I kick a soccer ball.

You can't break your iGPU doing that, there's temperature and total-wattage thresholds for that (unless your motherboard is inherently flawed in such a unique way that it doesn't work, or it's disabled in bios). Just download a new version of the intel graphics drivers, and uninstall the old ones, restart, then install the new ones, restart, and then try running your game (it may want you to re-install directx, depending on the windows version).
The crashing most likely 'borked' your drivers in some way. This stuff happens.

Stupid stuff I've done with computers...
Mounted an AT power supply as a secondary power supply with a switch on the back of the case to a ATX pc with an ATX Power supply to power extra stuff.
When I was 19 (circa 2001) I beat up the computer so bad that my friend standing behind me got knocked onto the floor and he was almost 40 years old and pretty muscular (I worked concrete construction, and boy was I maaaaaad at that computer). I promptly went out that week and bought parts for a cutting-edge PC with a pentium 4 and a gig of RD ram (it was around 1800$ for the whole machine), that was nice enough I wouldn't want to beat it up.
I kicked my 85lbs full tower computer in 2008 and broke my toe(s) and walked with a limp for 3 weeks because I didn't want to take off work (how do you tell them how that happened anyways). It did nothing but put a small dimple in the case you could barely see (well it was a good case, but it laughed at me and did nothing to the pc).
I backhanded it off the desk once about 10 years ago. Did nothing to the computer beyond knocking the power plug out.
The corrupt pigs bashed my (same) 85lbs tower off the floor 12~18 times so loud the neighbors on both sides of my townhouse unit heard it. This happened while I was at work and I was told about it the next day. This is what happens when you catch corrupt cops and they get fired trying to set you up for catching them.
The corrupt pigs (AGAIN) threw my computer down the steps when I wasn't home and then were too weak to take it back upstairs into the PC room, and it did nothing to it in 2015. I am still using it today with nary a problem (although I moved after that vs shoot them like most ppl have). You could drop-ship this thing. They just won't quit. They are spoiled, stupid, and ego-driven, and I am better than this type of attitude. I just tell everyone what they did, heh.
I build a good computer because I have to because it must survive me with my PTSD and natural-born resentment of microsoft Windows, so now it could be drop shipped and run in the middle of operation Iraqi freedom/Enduring freedom in desert heat and putter along just dandy.
It still lives, and I will use it and keep it out of spite. Muahaha.
Oh, and back in the 90s when I was re-building a 486 I put a socket 3 cpu in the wrong way.
They weren't keyed to prevent this back then. Cooked a DX4/100 genuine intel chip, boy was I ticked.

*Note: Now I don't hate all cops, just the bad ones, but far too many are catching the news lately and most issues I had was paid informants trying to make too much money by manufacturing criminal behavior via an 'Entrapment Assembly Line'.

The extent of dumb things I've done is kick my power strip or my computers very sensitive power plug. I probably should move my power strip or just replace the plug, but whatever lol

Take a 1.5 to 2-inch phillips framing-style screw and put it into the drywall where it's attached to the wall studs behind it (you don't even need a stud finder - use your knuckle and knock). In recent construction (last ~40 years or so, excepting modular/mobile homes) the wall sockets are attached on one side or another to wall studs, so usually you can put it right by the socket without blocking it. Most surge strips can then be hung on the screw, if you've left about ΒΌ inch of it exposed, or slightly more. The hole is easily covered with a bit of spackle or such when you don't need it any longer. This keeps the wires off the floor, where varmint can't eat them, you won't kick them, and a short won't readily burn the carpet and garbage can't collect on them. I keep my surge strip on the desk behind the 40" screen here (a smaller monitor won't easily hide them so much, but will still do). You can also use a 1" screw and mount it to the side toward the back of your PC desk if you've got a wooden desk (pre-drill the hole if you've got solid wood so as not to split it, such as this oak desk here - office surplus FTW).

Don't leave your wires laying about on carpet, especially stuff on your livingroom floor where the furniture can lay on it, that's asking for it, especially if you've got pets that can nibble... tack it to the wall on or just above the baseboard.

--Just a tip - hope this helps save someone trouble of a fire or maybe just sleep better at night -- cheers!

Broke quite a bit of keys on the laptop I use, by throwing a book onto it. I don't even remember why, all I remember is that my laptop's keyboard dosn't work because of that incident, and now I use an old Dell keyboard with an old Lenovo mouse.

I've managed to get like 10 viruses/browser hijackers on my PC. Then I managed to delete them all without an antivirus by interrupting them on the task manager and putting their files on an old pendrive, then abandoning it on a random street in my town. I don't wanna be the one to put that on a PC.

    Download Norton Security....

Every single goddamn day I get a notice saying 'update available, best solution: restart computer' I can either:
    Restart my computer
    Get reminded in 1 hour
    Get reminded in 12 hours
    Get reminded in 24 hours

If I do restart my computer, Windows Vista may not turn back on.........

Everything else is pretty bad, as long as you don't want to pay $40 for an okay antivirus, but that's a practical thing.
Also, try right-click -> 'Turn off notifications for this group'.

After I upgraded to skylake, I never bothered to put the build back in the case. I've been running my computer breadboard style for months. Psu cables dangling everywhere, ssd dangling. heatsink isn't even bolted to the cpu just pressed on.
