Is BeamNg ever going to have online multiplayer?

Online multiplayer would make beamng alot better.

You should know that it will take maybe another year.

 

No, don't say there is any kind of plan for it, there isn't. At the moment there is no time schedule for it and it may never happen.

 

They are adding basic scenario scoring multiplayer. Your score goes on a leaderboard

Multiplayer has been discussed very often since day one. It will probably happen eventually, but AFAIK they're still unsure of how to go about it.

The current status of multiplayer is: neither confirmed nor denied. It might happen, or it might not.

Honestly I really hope they add it, in my opinion it's technically possible and would be a huge addition in playerbase to the game.

I'd bet my left arm that the devs have already experimented, and achieved equal or better results. But it is still not good enough to show from their side, or confirm multiplayer as being in development. The only reason we are seeing this is because chris and firepower have no obligation to release it. It is hardly a prototype. If the end goal is space travel, this is a paper airplane. Yes, it technically flies but it falls miles short of the goal.

Like so much other stuff on the forums, it will never see the light of day.

If by some insane way it releases in a decent state, and is what everyone is hoping for from multiplayer, I will eat my socks.
But it's not.
