I don't know if we have one already, (if we do please disregard this).

If not this is where we can discuss Mafia III.

Let's start this off shall we.

It's a great game, with a great story. Don't t get me wrong I love the Mafia series and this game.

Is it just me or does it look like a previous generation game (graphics wise on console?) some parts are absolutely beautiful and some are rather dull. For example driving down the street? Anyone notice this?

Other than that absolutely love the game.

Anyone know what the day one patch is supposed contain for the Xbox one?

Patch is already in the works to unlock it, and should be available by the weekend.

    30,60 and unlimited FPS selections.

Reading multiple forums, I see a trend complaints to do with washed out textures, "brown tinting", and a few other things.

I guess the illusion GFX engine is holding Mafia III back.

To bad 2K doesn't share technology between companies this game would be absolutely beautiful on the RAGE engine.

What are the chances of Hanger 13 doing a graphics "overhaul" in a upcoming update with better textures etc?

    Thoughts?

Thoughts? You think Rockstar would furnish a rival company making the same game as them with their own engine? This should be in the other games section.

There's is no way, R* would ever do this we can only dream.

Yes what I'm trying to say is, a RAGE like engine would "unlock" the potential of a game like MAFIA III.

This old and tired illusion engine is holding this game back on the GFX side of things.

Is this engine working great for them? Yes

Could they have a major improvement in graphical abilities, with a newer more updated engine? Yes

    We can only dream lol.

The graphics are good ebough I want fluid procedural Character animations. I want people who are getting shot at to act like it. Physics and graphics have been good for half a decade. Now we need KILLER ai and animations preferably mixed together.

What platform are you playing on? I'm currently on XB1. The textures and lighting look "washed out" in the day time and it has the certain "blur" that bothers me lol.

IMO in the day, it "looks like" a previous gen game, at night it's a different story though.

I totally agree with you on the AI and animations.

Overall I love the game, and for a studio first, it's excellent. (and I love, how quick they are to fix the issues people were experiencing.)

Just little nitpicking on the GFX is all, I bet a update could fix all these "nitpicks" lol.

As somebody who plays on minimal settings (and below minimal requirements), I find that all the hate is unfounded. Even now I love scenery and all the little details. Mafia 3 is also one of the few games which makes me wait for the song on the radio to stop playing before getting out my car.

I don't know if anybody has noticed that one, but the chrome pieces on cars like bumpers etc look soo wrong and dull sometimes. And that's on everything high. Not to talk about the cars' engines sounding all the same like vacuum cleaners. Hate to say it but Mafia looks more and more like a gta to me. 1 day playing and it already got me hooked up... ...to play Mafia II again. I get the impression they've rushed the entire game and missed some huge bits which made the older two so awesome.
