just to show how easy it will be to create new terrains and modify/mod things (no n/b editor yet).

It will be really easy: press F11 to open the world editor and edit away, save, etc

The n/b editor will be in this editor as well as things we see now? It looks easy to use, really clean and well organized. It will be possible to build n/b structure in the external 3d software, like max or maya? Also, this road and river looks like splines known from 3dsmax. It works that way?

Ive been trying to install the Torque3D editor for hours today, to get used to the editor a bit, but I must be doing something wrong. When I use the GitHub thing you need to install it, and you gotta open the editor folders in explorer, there is no torque3d.exe(and some other files are missing too). I followed a tutorial to install it properly about 3-4 times but those files are always missing...

    I just followed this thing:
    Garagegames FPS tutorial

At step 2.1, on the screenshot at point 3... When I go to those folders, I'm missing these files:
torque 3d.exe, torque 3d.exe.config, all the dll files, and I got .gitattributes which isn't in the screenshot...

Anyone got an idea what I'm doing wrong? The tutorial makes it look so easy and straight-forward yet the files just aren't there?! I tried it on my laptop too a few times, but same problem. I must be doing something wrong...?

well, you need to compile those files first.

Ah... Well I feel more stupid now than I already did :p That seems so obvious, yet they totally didn't mention it in that step-by-step install thing. They just wrote it down like "download here then do this and click exe"... Though I did read something about compiling it on another page of the site, so I should only blame myself.

    Thanks for the help :)

I'll go and have a play with it tomorrow then. :)

When you go to file > create blank terrain you get to choose the size.

I assume that you can create you're own objects with an external 3D program like 3ds max or cinema 4D, but what file format should i use?

Hey everyone, I'm the CEO of GarageGames. Glad to have you all playing around in Torque.

I wanted to let you guys know that we are putting together an update of the FPS tutorial. We recently updated the version of Torque 3D and the tutorial is lagging behind a bit. Most of it is still up to date. If you are getting stuck you can find lots of great folks on our IRC channel or in our community. We will update it soon.

I'm kind of looking forward to the in game editor for BeamNG. It should prove to be a useful and easy tool for beginners who want to be part of the crowd who helps provide content, you know? Looking forward to it.

    EDIT:

TDev, can you release any information on how easy/difficult it will be to change traction values?
