So, what is your feedback about the "Senseless destruction" and the "Driver Training" campaign? What did you like? What was meh? What could we do better? What was a problem or blocking? What feature would you like to see in the future? How can we polish the experience a bit more? Looking forward to your feedback!
In The "senseless destruction" campaign, when you have to ram the Moonhawk off a cliff with the van, its nearly impossible to get a 1000, or even a gold.
I liked the original ideas you had for the campaign, but I really hated that I couldnt choose a level and I was frustrated when I couldnt skip the intro after restarting
I really liked all of it! it makes the game seem more of a "challenge" then the scenarios. Keep it up!
-I liked the reallism and increasing difficulty, the scoring system is also pretty good. I also love the creativity of the rope bridge part. -The offroad/rock climbing parts of senseless destruction were kinda meh to me. Apart from that it was pretty great. -I'd say more and more challenging tasks would be interesting. Generally if the quality is the same, the more campaigns the better. -Resetting in some parts of the missions would cause the game to freeze up in weird ways and not let you complete the campaign. -I'd love to see a racing/banger racing campaign, similar to FlatOut 2 and such. -More things like the suspension bridge mission with the Burnside Special. The atmosphere is amazing and the rest of the game would benefit from such touches.
I'd like a campaign with Cannons because they are cool. I've made a tread about it here and it got some positive feedback.
I have no complaints about how the campaign plays, I'm just very disappointed as to what a campaign is. When I heard campaigns were coming, I expect a sort of career-like thing. As mentioned by the devs before, something like SLRR or the like. You know; vehicle ownership, earn money, enter races, etc. But it turns out all campaigns are just a series of scenarios. Sure they're fun and very polished, but they take like 15 minutes to play and then that's it. The only point is to get a higher score, and it's not really even that hard to get perfect.
I liked everything in the campaign really. The slowmo at the end was a nice addition. I found that the bolide switching lanes one in the driver campaign was super easy. Agreed with @Slammington. I would like to get challenging campaigns in the future. I find that the current campaigns were pretty right in the amount of challenge. In the senseless destruction campaign there were a scenario were you used a drag (moonhawk?) and jumped through the dry can trailer to the other side. The problem was that you could easily go to left road instead and get to the finish line quicker. There were small rocks there yes but they didn't stop much. Another problem was that sometimes it was impossible to get full points. Longer campaigns. A second driver training campaign would be nice. Also maybe something related to racing and such like overtaking challenges and such(well what you can do with the current AI system might be limited at the moment but still.) But I also want the crazy campaigns like senseless destruction because that one was well done with the destructible objects having a certain amount of points, how the scenario was visually explained and so on. I do agree with @DOUGL4S1 about the sniper cannon campaign. As i said i felt like some scenarios it was impossible to get 100% full points. EDIT: Another thing that should that i found was that after the campaign scenario was over and the slow mo was activated you could still control the car and let it ram right into a barrier. That felt silly in scenarios like ETK handling tests were it was crucial that the ETK will not get damaged but slamming the engine into the drivers seat was a perfectly fine thing to do after the scenario.
I enjoyed the scenarios, but i think that since the game is oriented around crashing, the ending screen should be either transparent or pushed to the side. Otherwise i loved it!
I love the sensless destruction campaign! i really thought that the levels were a bit too few more levels would be nice... the first level of driver training, welp, the checkpoint dissapears like 500 feet brfore i get to it. selectable vehicles (of scourse, it would be a small selection of them) cameras can be screwey at times, also split screens if multiple cars (cliff ram)
Lots of fun! I really like the senseless destruction point system. Drivers training was also very enjoyable. My only criticism is to be able to skip the camera intro in senseless destruction, its kind of annoying when you need to re do it multiple times. I would like to see some more drivers training with different vehicles in different conditions. Possibly a drivers training where you learn how to drive the semi with trailers, or a racing one where you learn to drive a race car. But nice job guys, great work! Hope to see more!
Absolutely love the campaigns. Really enjoy the senseless destruction series and I hope there are many, many more. The slo-mo stuff in these is awesome and remind me very much of the ENDLESS hours spent in Burnout. I have no real gripes at this time mainly because the scheme is obviously early. I would love to see senseless destruction have the ability to choose any map and any vehicle eventually! I'd love to have more intersection varieties too. Overall I think you folks have done a splendid job right out of the gate and I really feel like this is headed in the right direction. Obviously full 'campaigns' in the literal sense are a ways off but these destruction 'scenarios' are an awesome start.
I enjoyed the driving school, I think it should help non drivers a lot so good job. didn't feel like a chore to get thru. senseless distruction was a pleasant surprise. the white lettering was in your face on a great way. camera work was nice, and the scenarios were all satisfying. maybe let us skip the Intros if we want to. the drag race was hilarious, keep up the good work. a while ago you said this was not going to happen but you guys have more manpower and should consider this for campaign. persistent damage between rally sections in a rally campaign. in rally, sympathetic use of the car is TANTAMOUNT to staying competitive. put your damage model to good use and make us drive not just fast but good. keep it up.
I can only really echo the praise everyone else has given, I thought that both campaigns were brilliant! Lots of gameplay and replayability too! I especially like the intro to each challenge. The camera movements are very slick and look high quality. I can only hope for more of the same please
These campaigns are pretty great ! I especially liked the tracks in the driver training campaign. The only part where I'm not sure about is the crawling scenario in senseless destruction. In some camera angles I couldn't see where I was driving and I found it quite frustrating. I'm looking forward to some more interactivity in the campaigns. For example the ability to launch different scenarios depending on the ending of the previous one. Another feature I'd really like to have is having the campaigns organized like a scenario folder, when you click on the campaign icon you can have access to a submenu with all the scenarios. And maybe make some of them locked until the player completed the requirements. Keep up the great work !
What did you like? NEW, a start to a career mode. I liked the camera movements and titles showing what to do. It was simple. What was meh? Some were hard, the bridge one *coughcough* What could we do better? Some i was not understanding what to do. Like the one when your running the t-series down that hill. IS it with as much damage and least time? What was a problem or blocking? N/A What feature would you like to see in the future? Make money for career mode. How can we polish the experience a bit more? More campaigns. In the career mod maybe make some money by getting a certain level.
