Why should we care how much people get paid to play Amnesia and scream at a webcam to their 8-12 year old fan base? Either way, the narrator said that these numbers are estimated figures.
These were his sources, which makes it very credible... http://www.statsheep.com/PewDiePie Estimated based on the capital income that is made on each view. So its a very accurate figure I believe...
So what do you expect us to get out of this? They aren't doing anything wrong. Are we supposed to be mad at them for having a good paying job? That video is absolutely pointless. Besides, most popular gaming YouTubers are signed under Machinima anyway, and they take a HUGE percentage of their earnings from them due to their horrible contract. If anything, Machinima is the company you should be angry at.
It was just an educational video.... If u watched the whole video u will notice that none (except for syndicate) of the people on the list are affiliated with machinima...
If you call knowing the useless fact of how much popular YouTubers earn an educational fact..then you seriously need to get out more. And also, I said -most- gaming YouTubers. I wasn't talking about all the people in the video.
I think that this is a very interesting video. Why would you call it useless. If you think this video is pointless, go on youtube for about half an hour, then you'll figure out what a useless video is. Well, anyway, thanks for making it, very eye opening.
If you don't think its useless, then explain what the use is in knowing how much a certain YouTuber earns?
It's just interesting. Do you think that the whole history channel is useless? It's just an interesting tidbit of information that surprised me.
I can't really disagree with that, but I am talking about the old history channel. Ya know, how it's made and stuff like that.
History is actual historical facts about what happened to make the world how it is today...it actually had an effect on our lives, whereas useless facts about YouTubers doesn't.
I'm not saying it is information you can use in real life or can help you or anything. It's just interesting, and it's fun to learn interesting stuff. Lets stop arguing in his thread. I'm sure he doesn't appreciate it.
I made my point a long time ago... you kept dragging this on... No need for you to keep posting in here.
ok you shouldn't - unless, of course, you value the sanctity of the entertainment industry. perhaps this shocking video will spark a massive revolution in how quality entertainment is delivered to users. it doesn't matter how much they actually make, the author of the video is trying to get across the point that they make a significant amount of money. why? look at the video description; he is trying to build an online following so that he, too, can have a seven-figure youtube-fueled income. make sure to like him on facebook and twitter, too! nothing. he has made his point that specific youtubers have large incomes. please like him on facebook now. the video did not imply that they are doing anything wrong. nobody is supposed to be mad at them. if you choose to be frustrated that PewDiePie makes millions of dollars, that is up to you. thank you for sharing this pointless fact. oh wait, it's not a fact by any means. you literally just made this up on the spot to support a non-existent argument for some reason. i do not understand why this post was written. the only outcome of this sort of post is to cause an argument. i guess someone just likes to argue. sure - everyone can have their own opinion. if one was not already aware that a self-publishing content creator on youtube could pull in millions, then yeah this video could serve an 'educational' purpose. however, this video could have been replaced by a small list rather than a four minute youtube video. it's far more valuable to question the motives of the video author on his choice to use youtube as a medium to share this information than to argue about the semantics of the word 'useless' and whether or not it applies to this specific youtube video. i don't know, what is the use in your pursuit of a professional career in the music industry? maybe the guy who made this video is an aspiring youtube content creator. everyone starts somewhere, why do you have to call this guys creation useless? not even going to try to put up constructive criticism? you've literally just shit on this thread with attitude, and it is now beyond the point of recovery.
and here we go, another thread with arguing. No wonder there isn't peace on earth. Everyone has to slaughter everyone else's views and opinions if it conflicts with their own. I personally wouldn't doubt these figures because of the fact that Smosh already owns their own house and has an extensive video crew to help them out. And they started in Ian's room singing the pokemon theme song on a damn webcam. It's GREAT for those people to actually make a living off of a internet site. If you want to make millions of dollars this way, figure out something that people will search. just don't steal ideas. Everyone is also entitled to their own opinions, so you should say "I think....etc" rather than just a blatant "No, you're wrong". I mean, sometimes people are wrong. But that doesn't mean you go bananas over it. Unless they are just murdering and robbing people. now here I go, getting off topic. None the less, It's pretty cool that they get to make money.
