Trains would be an awesome addition to this game. I can imagine being able to place different scripted areas on the tracks to determine how fast you want the train to go (before it hits you). Imagine watching a train hit a huge truck, causing the train to derail. The only problem is how the game will handle all the train cars...might cause a lot of lag even on high-end computers.
Trains would certainly be cool, but I don't think it's a very realistic idea. The developers have a lot of work to do on the game itself, so adding trains would take too much time. Unless we have some other programming wizards in the community, trains probably won't be added to the game. It's a cool idea though. It would be even cooler if the trains had AI, so they could freely operate around tracks. I'd probably spend most of my time playing chicken with approaching trains.
Hmm, Actually, adding trains shouldn't be too difficult, as all we need to make trains like we did in ROR is still there...
such test i want to do and i love my everday train the BR 612: maybe someone will model it into the game^^
I love the idea of having trains as well. If for nothing else then to have them to create life and atmosphere. If the trains were built relatively low poly with no collision physics ( really not needed ) then maybe they wouldn't be such a resource hog.
