Well if it makes you feel any better, it is amazing work. I love taking this vehicle in most of its variants for a spin on track or street because it is a very challenging vehicle to master and drive. Aside from some minor bugs - the aforementioned sound/volume issues, and the presence of the road's reflection on the windshield (which I remedied by taking it out) - it is a very well crafted and put together add-on.
This car is PURE DYNAMITE. I'm talking T.N.T... Nitro... the heavy stuff. No, I am not a coked-up Wall Street snob talking glib, stuck in the 80's. This car will destroy anything you pit against it, any decade... including yourself, and any confidence in the driving skills you THOUGHT you had. And even when how ridiculously, outrageously powerful the engine is... I can't complain. This car wants you dead, and it will do it with a wicked smile, and a sinister wink, like Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. Of all the hype surrounding the automotive legend called the "Countach," the flagship star-destroyer that propelled Lamborghini to the forefront of supercar history in the golden age of supercars, no other mod conveys the sheer extremes of it's IRL driving experience, as this mod/model does. The real centerpiece is the engine... I mean... what other car in BeamNG will rocket to top speed and destroy itself from overheating before even having a CHANCE to skid off the road and crash?!?! This thing is the personification of all legends and mysterious glory surrounding the iconic Countach in real life... Sure, sure, it's a realistic model that carries itself well on the road when driven carefully in moderation. Soon, you will be lured into a trap by it's confidence-inducing acceleration, combined with realistic weight balance and handling, ultimately culminating in nightmarish flat-line braking and unintentional suicide... The point is, the driver is stuck in a coma of pure driving euphoria the entire time. It's a work of art. The only thing that could really challenge this beauty in the retro-supercar arena would be a Ferrari F40 model, maybe a Ford GT-40... and I have yet to witness anything like that. Nothing comes close to this hypercar beyond it's time. The engine volume is a bit excessive, and I experienced some texture/color issues in the garage... but can you really blame the author after they have assembled something as awesomely detailed and self-destructive as this beast? It's just too wild... Shut up or it will eat you ; ]
If I recall correctly, this has been covered in the thread before. In fact, people responded to the quoted re-post and gave the answer the first time it was posted. If you scrolled down the page you quoted the literal first post from, you might have seen. English is his second language, and he is doing his best. That is all this forum requires - I imagine he would be much more 'readable' posting in his native language, although you might have trouble understanding. Perhaps work on your reading comprehension so you can infer what he is trying to say when his English fails him? I haven't had a problem interpreting a post yet. I personally am quite excited to see what comes in tomorrow's update, and am grateful for the work he has put into making this car as realistic and exciting to drive as possible.
still havnt fixed the main problem which was the obsenely loud sound of the engine??? --- Post updated --- what did u fix in v6. still obsenely loud engine. still stuffed windscreen glare still stuffed pop up headlights (and those were the main problems) the only thing i can tell is that u changed the car back to red
It seems to me as if some things have changed, but I could not say what. I only wish I could swap in the audio from the V4 in the meantime, as it really does put my sound system through the paces. It seems like it handles a little bit differently, and wants to sling me into walls to very exciting deaths. It said in the update notes he fixed the windshield breaking oddly and 'solved an invisible break' (whatever that is). He never said he was working on the sound files for this specific update, although I will admit I would be driving a lot more (rather than posting) if he had. The volume needs to be reduced by about 30-40% for the file, and I think it would really improve the way it sounds and renders on various speakers. I ran the sound files through audacity and normalized them, as well as reducing the audio gain by 3-5 decibels. Try this on for size and see if it doesn't work - It seems marginally quieter, but it is still magnitudes louder than all other vehicles, even when idling. I'll try reducing the audio level 5 db at a time to see if it doesn't reach something reasonable. PS: @ OP - I will remove my version at your request - the only difference is the sound file, and the benefit is marginal, if it exists at all. I haven't done any balancing between the audio files, I simply reduced their amplitude and attempted to reduce clipping wherever possible. It seems as if I may have unbalanced things, because the backfires seem deafening in relation to the engine, which now sounds too close to default for my liking.Mostly the vehicle's loudness just seems to be at a much more appreciable level, which some folks may prefer. If I lowered the volume of the backfire and increased the new_bolide slightly, I think it'd resemble the original better while successfully lowering the volume. Soon I am going to download the default files and start from scratch to see if I can't balance them better. Thank you for your work!
what did u fix in v6. still obsenely loud engine. still stuffed windscreen glare still stuffed pop up headlights (and those were the main problems the only thing i can tell is that u changed the car back to red yes i see about the popping/backfire and i would say engine sound actuallly needs to be a tad louder. Like just a smidgen haha
I think the reasoning behind what he said is that we see a lot of those kind of messages around a lot. I will admit that it does get annoying, but I do understand why said messages are posted. The only thing I can say about the fatal vehicle exception error, is to only wait until a fix is provided by either gianpiero or anyone else working on this mod. I'd like to see the error message get fixed myself. The Countach is one of my favorite Lambos.
