I think we should have blinker sounds, air brake releasing sounds, parking brake sounds, brake sounds, better engine sounds (even though they're out) headlight switching sounds, tailgate sounds, trailer connecting sounds, gear whining, for big trucks beeping for reverse, siren sounds, horns, blinker auto off, better crash sounds (again, even though they're already out),metal scratching sounds ; flat tires, flat tire flopping sounds, gravel, road, dirt snow, sounds, etc. Also shifting sounds, engine (as in parts) sounds, and more realism in general. Have ignition and battery (optional, even though it's already out, again.) extensions, tire wear, stalling breaking down engines, have to heat up engines (side effects of cold engines),doors being able to be opened, or just hinges and trunks in general. PLEASE DO NOT KEEP PUTTING THESE BAD SOUND EFFECTS FOR CARS!! (ETK SERIES FOR AN EXAMPLE, GROSS!!!!!) Please put your recommendations for what we should do with the game to make it more realistic here.
still honestly it can't be that hard since they add new cars with the same boring sound again and again and again, right?
Here is a copy paste of the "something is still on the horizon" devblog thaw was from june 2016: Audio We got an audio specialist (Sebastian) now that is doing research on how we can improve our game sounds. Current topics being worked on (these should not be expected soon): Models for different surfaces Model for engine sounds created with Max/MSP Various car interior sounds: handbrake, indicator, gear shift, horn, light, hazard light Destruction sounds: model for car being on fire, tire bursting First attempts to create realistic, interactive tire squeals Sounds for blow-off-valves, turbos and superchargers Focus will now be on the implementation side and making the assets created so far work in game, then improving the assets and sound system
