It's all good anyways @JBatic, i helped ellvis50 get the front suspension set up and he fixed the steering.
Hope to see this completed. It was fun to race the "Citroen Series 3" in Asphalt 6. I'm from America where Citroen isn't sold regularly It's cool to have someone working on one. If I can help with anything, just not jbeams, textures, or modeling, please let me know. I want to help, but I just have little-to-no experience with these types of things.
Hi everybody ! I have some news today about the mod ! Thanks to CreasingCurve, the front suspension has been corrected implemented : Now, I have to move the nodes to fit to the shape of the front suspension of the car, but my first tries were not very relevant (Instant broken beams, problems with the front wheels) So I will probably need some advice for that. Then, as you can see, some parts have been added : For the next time, I will try to finish the front suspension and add the windows of the car with their textures. Enjoy
i have a bit of experience with this stuff and im gonna give you a few advice. Im not saying its the perfect way to do things but its the way that worked best for me. Since suspension is hard to make properly, i would recommend that you only move the rear suspension, the way that i do it is like this. This is the car that im working on right now. Im going to use the moonhawks jbeam to make it, this is the moonhawks model. i move the mesh of the car that im making so that the front wheels are aligned with the front wheels of the moonhawk. It doesnt need to be perfect but make it as close as possible for better results. since the front suspension has a steering it has more things that can go wrong if you edit the jbeam, thats why i try not to touch it at all. then you can move the rear suspension with the frame so that it stays mostly intact. the less you touch a suspension the less problems will appear with it. i keep having issues with the suspensions and this is by far the easiest way i managed to do it, other then that things kept breaking or it didnt look as good. it seems that you have done a lot already, so if you dont want to do all this i can understand. maybe next time this will help you. also, in the credits you say that "you" made the textures. if the model is from dirt rally you didnt make the textures. credit the right author. if you simply cant get the textures i can help you get every different skin that dirt rally has for this car. Good luck with your project.
Thanks for your advices, crashmaster About the textures, I didn't use the 2D files from Codemasters and I will not. What I mean, by the textures are made by me is I will make my own UV maps with blender. For the moment, the body's texture is simply a 1024*1024 white square because I didn't start the build of UV maps.
