I think this is likely on my end, but it seems i've had some serious issues playing BeamNG. THe screen just turns into a solid color (Different depending on what map i was playing) randomly and all but once did this happen while Playing Beam.

I assume this is an issue on my ends, but after deleting some files I had recently DLed it seemed to work again.

So today I DLed a few things thinking the issue was over, then BAM! It returns.

    Whats wrong?

Don't know them specifically, but their pretty middle of the road. It struggles a little bit with Beam when things get tough, but thats always been the case. I've never had the screen go wonky. Thats why I think something modded is causing something on my end.
    --- Post updated ---
So its not just Beam NG it happens on, but mostly Beam NG

I had the same issue AGAIN and it was without Beam on. Ugh....

Although I had just tried to varify the games Cache prior.....

If it happens in other games too, it's probably something in your PC (Graphics Card dying?)

Graphics processing chip or Video-memory flaking out usually, if it's not driver related. Could also be sign of dying power supply or GRAPHICS OVERHEATING. Get a house fan, take the side off the PC to expose the parts and point the fan at your PC to see if it's an overheating issue.

Have you cleaned your PC? If so and it's been a few months, or more than 2 months in the city, CLEAN IT - especially if you have PETS.

Take some pictures of the inside of your computer. Just keep on the lookout for any warranty stickers you'd have to sever (and break the warranty in the process!), you don't want to mess up those if you still are under warranty. Get a close up of the circit board your monitor plugs in to (it should be seperate from the main board of the PC that has cpu & ram and lots n lots of plugs on it).

If you haven't tried, go over to www.guru3d.com and look up DISPLAY DRIVER UNINSTALLER on the downloads (utilities?) section of the website.
Use this to uninstall your OLD graphics driver, so you can install a NEW one without having conflicts. Keep in mind if the new one refuses to re-install, says can't find card, you may have the wrong driver. If not and you KNOW you have the RIGHT driver for your card (you can run it's serial number on your PC manufacturer's site, or GOOGLE is your friend here), you may have a dead card.

Maybe an AMD Radeon Rx 460 2gb/4gb card, or an Nvidia 1050 2gb would do you fine, they'll run most everything on MEDIUM settings. You have to make sure to see if your PC's power supply can handle such a card.
See what's in there, and look up the wattage that card took, and get something just slightly less wattage (will still be more powerful).
If any of this is too technical, copy the sentence and write EXPLAIN after it & reply.

FYI: Some DELL pc's only take video cards up to 25watt.
ALSO, if it's a laptop, consider seeing if the graphics board in it is integrated or separete, if it's seperate then you can get another one.

    thanks for the responses guys.

So far the diagnosis is that its one of the following

a.) RAM gone bad or running out (I only have 8gb and I run the game mostly on High)

    b.) Video Card gone bad

c.) Portion of the Hard Drive has gone bad.

I'd say the safest bet would be that it's the graphics card and it sounds like an overheating issue.

if you know what the graphics card is take it out and get some air duster and clean it, if you have some technical know how you can dismantle your graphics card put some new thermal paste on it and vacuum and air dust the heat sinks on it, but that takes a bit of time and you have to know what you are doing

Well if your like me I did it with no experience training all I did was strip down a HD3870 with no safety precautions about Static electricity but I got the temps down from 120 Degrees C to 50 Degrees C because of cleaning it out and removing 1 sticker that hid part of the heat sink from view :p

I did clean it about three weeks ago. But I don't know if that would mean anything, could still be the graphics card....

Pretty Sure they don't ... Ram is used for loaded vehicles and maps I think. Mods are stored in the c-drive then load into the ram from there (I think)

Screen flashing single colour in all games, that's a dead/dying graphics card.
Hard drive and ram would not cause this

It's not All games, my older games such as Team Fortress 2 or NASCAR Racing 2003 season haven't messed up yet, but I will continue to look into it being a graphics card issue.

The thing I have learned about this forum is that 6677 is usually correct about things, so I would trust his judgement every time, and it does sound like a graphics issue to me I had blue squares turning up all over my monitor a few weeks before I rebuilt my comptuer and I knew my GPU a HD5770 was dying so that was a tell tell sign for me

And that's simply why. Those games would not stress your card. They are old and run quite easily. Under higher stress your card will begin to falter. Just get a 1070 like I did and all will be fine :D.
