Complaints, Love Messages and Questions

Hey guys. My name be Shima.33, and this is my first post in this forum. I've been playing the game for about a week or so now, And I've noticed a couple of things here and there that I've gotta point out.

-No Car other than the Gavril D-Series, the Bruckell Moonhawk, and everyone's favourite, The Ibishu Covet, steer in a straight line when everything is removed. When it is just the framework, the suspension/other crap connected to the wheels, and the motor, most cars either sway to the left/right, or are plain uncontrollable.

-Removing the body of the Gavril H-series makes it unusable

-There's a big ol' blue rectangle somewhere on Dry Rock Island. You can drive through it, but it's in the middle of nowhere and I CBA getting a picture of it. It might be patched, but it detracts from the scenery.

- The Gavril Grand Marshall is a joke of a car. The steering is terrible, the top speed is capped, and it just feels way too blocky. Plz buff, or whatever. If it's meant to be crap, then just say so.

- Civettia Bolide needs more mods for it. I know, I know, you've probably heard it a million times, but I really want the Civettia Bolide to be like a Lancia Stratos - A rally track beast.

-There are no cars which have a really high tourqe, akin to a Jeep or another mountain-climber type vehicle. There are a couple of mountainous maps on these forums that I just can't explore. We need a Jeep up in here, d00ds. I would design one, but I can only do skins.

Speaking of skins...

-How do you make full-body skins, or even partial skins for that matter? I have no idea where to start when it comes to kitting out my Civettia Bolide to look more like a Lancia Stratos, as I mentioned up there. Come on now, who DOESN'T want to ride a Lancia Stratos around Leguna Seca?

And, the love letter...

-First love letter goes out to everybody who's worked on this amazing game. Seriously, you guys are freakin' awesome. The crash physics are epic, but I find myself often times getting lost on the various courses and maps that the community and yourself have built. The graphics are making my CPU fans scream in agony, but I guess that's a good thing considering this isn't a Gaming PC.

-Second love letter... Ahhhh, The Civettia Bolide... You beautifully flawed car... The way that I can only steer you if I'm gently tapping the accelerate every half-second... The way they had to patch your crappy steering... Don't get me wrong, Civettia Bolide, I love you. The way you scramble up hills is immaculately awesome. The power behind your engine is limitless. The way your back end whips around corners is something that a certain IBISHU COVET *Spitting sound* will never do. Aah, Civettia Bolide... Only I understand you. <3


...Eww, that got a little freaky. I'm beginning to think that my randomness won't be appreciated...

 

I might not have the full game, but its really refreshing to hear something good about the game! I'ts people like you that I wish there were more of on the forums!!! And for your love letter for the Civetta Bolide: No, it wasn't too weird, I started laughing quite a lot actually!

You should really get the full game, man. It is a thing of beauty, and with all the mods and cool-ass locations people have made for it, the game is easily expanded to double or triple what it originally was just by an awesome community. Seriously, each and every one of you guys... <3

I'm glad the Civetta Bolide love letter didn't come off as weird... I'm serious, everything about that car fills my heart with love and joy. The way how when you take off every peice of the bodywork it becomes a dune buggy from hell... Like I said, beautifully flawed.

To fuel your Lancia Stratos obsession

(This may be based on an older version of the car and thus handle different than the current version)
The blue rectangle can be done away with by deleting any "BeamNG Trigger" elements in the scene. (Or you can just click on it and delete it in the editor) There is also one on Small Island and Industrial, they have something to do with keeping times?

 

Your wording confuses me. Which vehicle are you saying isn't controllable with just the frame? You left out the van, so the van?

I find every vehicle that can be taken down to the frame, drives fine with just the frame. Maybe user error?

As in a glitch like it freezes, or you just can't control it? I enjoy driving the H-series with 4WD and just a frame lol.

Default maybe, but you know that you can make the cars into whatever you want?

For example, I have 3 different load outs for the Marshal. Off-Road crawler, AWD drift machine, and RWD sports. Each one I've put hours into tuning, which means all of them handle great, very fast, and I enjoy driving it.

Most of your issues become solved when you remember you can do anything you want with this game. Either through the effort of customizing and editing it yourself, or user-created content.

 

I would get the game, but my laptop wouldn't run it if it was held at gunpoint. XD And no old car is good without a couple of flaws.
