How To Use Online Functions??

    Hello! I've been playing BeamNG drive for a year or two now and i know in a recent-ish update, the toggle for online functionality was added. me and my friend want to play together, but i do not know how to do so. Any thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated. ~F&FFan750

    I believe online functions are only for the "Chat" app. Multiplayer isn't a feature yet. It will exist but probably not going to be done anytime soon.

    If you own BeamNG on Steam and you and your friend have different Steam accounts you can chat on steam, and to access it while in the game you press SHIFT+TAB. You could also use the chat application mentioned earlier.

    You can play together with a friend using multiseat but only locally.

    As said above,

    Online Features are just for:
    - Automatic Mod Installation
    - Chat app
    - Anything else that requires the game to connect to our server (ie. News box, and etc.)

    That box you see already explains all of this, and there is absolute no mention of online multiplayer in there.
