You cannot do that with a laptop. If you have like £70/$90 just buy a secondhand HDTV and make sure it has HDMi, if yours is broken for whatever reason. edit: SixSixSevenSeven beat it to me when I was writing my comment...

If you have an Xbox 1, you can stream your game to your computer using the Xbox windows app if you have a wired controller to plug in, or one of the newer controllers that connects to Bluetooth. PS4 does the same with the PS4 remote play app. You can also play a small selection of PS3 games on PC if you have a PSNow subscription
You're not going to be about to go direct into the laptop unless you physically disconnect the screen from the laptop and convert it to vga input. I know zero specifics on that, but it is possible in some circumstances, however appears to be quite difficult, and guides online are sparce and done on a case by case basis for each display manufacturer. It will be much much easier to either temporarily set up a TV to turn on streaming, or simply purchase a secondhand TV, even an old CRT will do. And you don't need a screen plugged into the console to play ps3 games on pc, just the account
