Here is an idea... How about adding a full size map (open with the M key or other) and a optional mini map.
This is a good idea for larger maps. Most of the current maps are quite small and don't really need a map, but when bigger maps are added having a map will be helpful.
IT would also help with racing because you could make it so you can see the course for track racing and auto/rallycross. Then for your rallying you wouldn't and you'd have to rely on either a copilot (the real way) or you get to see the checkpoints. GTA V did the rally's where the copilot can see the checkpoints and the driver cannot and you must rely on communication to succeed. I think that'd be cool in this game.
BUMP. I think this is a necessary feature the game is missing. Some of the vehicles like the ETK's already HAVE a WORKING Nav-System in them! So why can't we see it on the HUD?
Of the 12 User Interface Apps, I don't see anything that fits the description of a map. Can you link me, please?
I I understood you correctly then you mean this one: Also 12 apps? There are a lot more than 12! What version are you on?
Well, that only covers a small area of the map, maybe, there would be a key with a full map, you could click on a destination and it could show you a route to the destination
This looks like what I want, but I how do I access that screen in BeamNG? I don't see it under the menus or options... and I have the lastest Steam version. This is the page I was looking at: http://www.beamng.com/resources/categories/user-interface-apps.10/
Oh I see. I was talking about the menu tab for apps in game. To access that menu you'll have to enable advanced funtions in settings. When that is enabled you'll get a few new tabs on the left side menu. One of them is a tab for adding or editing ui apps.
I have "enable advanced functions" checked under the "gameplay" options... how do I access the Apps menu? Sorry for being a noob, but I can't find it anywhere in the GUI/menu screens, can you lead me to a quick tutorial? Thanks, -TR1P
Hahah but it's so much fun getting lost in Tennessee... *banjo plays eerily from somewhere, steps on gas*
there is an optional minimap, although the idea of expanding it with a key press would be intersting, like how it is done with ray's minimap for minecraft
