can we have the ability to choose our own vehicle from the vehicle selection? would be nice to have and how hard would it be to implement? new section called local multiplayer would do the trick?
Your idea is superb! First off playing with a friend in BeamNG.drive is fun, but since the camera is limited, it kind of ruins the overall experience. Your local multiplayer idea, plus a few of my ideas, and maybe a few others, will make it great.. Instead of having a section that is just called Local Multiplayer, call it Multiplayer. According to you, your multiplayer idea is like regular free roam, but supports more people better than free roam. The Local Multiplayer should have a split screen, so you can have one, two, or three people able to play with you. Screen size too small? No problem! Just hook up the computer to a TV. Easier said than done. Some people play this game on a laptop, so it is easier for them. We must believe in online multiplayer for BeamNG.drive. Where the main public server(s) have events that can go on and people just roaming around. Hosted servers have a person in control of them, and private servers where you can have your friends or anyone you choose to play with you. That is all I have for now, let us hope that this idea catches fire! (In the best way.)
I've heard that all calculations for RoR are made client side so that may be how it's done. Somebody with a beastly rig hosts while others connect. I hope the devs see this thread
