Hi everyone, i am curious if my computer will run this game. The specs are I7 920 at 3.1ghz 12gb ram tri channel and a rx 470. If it will run how well? thanks!!
It will run quite good. The RAM and GPU will definately do the trick. Altough the CPU will really pep up with an overclock to around 4Ghz if you are able to do that. I run a system based on the similar platform which performs great: CPU: Intel Xeon X5670@4.8Ghz (same architecture as the I7 9xx series, only difference is that it's got 6 cores and is produced on a newer production process with smaller transistors) MOBO: Asus P6T WS Pro RAM: 18GB (3x4GB, 3x2GB) GPU: Asus Strix R9 390 8GB (about as fast as the RX480) (yes i just want to show my system, if you get close to it BeamNG will run fairly good)
cool well thank you very much for the response. Im planning on getting a i7 980 eventually and since my system is water cooled i may overclock for now.
I advise you to take a look at the X5650, X5660 and X5670 xeon's. They generally overclock better than the I7 9xx cpu's, are far cheaper to find 2nd handed and are plug and play. You won't miss any feautures, they only have got more features than a "standard" I7. What motherboard are you running? The Asus P6T series are running really well with those Xeon cpu's. Some board don't work with them, but most of them will. I bought my Xeon X5670 for €80 which is about $85, a bargain for the performance.
It should run, can't guarantee the highest settings but as long as you temper your expectations it should be a good fun experience
