Apart from the cruise control thing (which is totally unrelated to the DCT), our DCT does exactly work like that. Downshifts under load use a "helper gear" when the actually desired gear is on the same transmission part as the current gear. So a shift from 6th to 3rd would look like this: 7 -> switch clutches -> 6th/4th -> shift primary shaft to 3rd -> switch clutches again -> 3rd. This provides constant propulsion while still downshifting as fast as possible to the desired gear.
hmmmm im having issues with gearshifting 1) in automatic when starting game normal car (no mods where enabled was in safe mode) drives forward stuck on 1st gear! 2)in realistic when starting game normal car (no mods enaled was in safe mode) dricves forward shifts gear goes goodly good but then issues come up doesn't want to go above 5th geasr BUT ITS A 6 GEAR CAR ohhh the new update well has some bugs and these where the ones I encounterd and this issue made me angry and sad but merry Christmas beamng team!
Delete entirely your Documents/BeamNG.drive folder. Some other users were having the same, seems to be caused by some broken files there.
no mods; cache cleared. new powertrain really good (maybe you can implement some torsen diff?) tyre friction need some work car chassis feeling stronger tested on east coast with sunburst hill climb(my favorite ) forget about DCT) need some tuning cuz it shift bad now oh lol forget about turbo) right now it work like absolutley ideal electrical turbo)) not possible to get 2+ bar on 2k rpm with 2-6% throttle
I have found a little bug. The AI always drives down the canyon and crash his car. You can see it in the picture. I have testet that "Canyon Trial" mission more than 3 times and everytime the AI falls off the track.
A minor but annoying bug whenever I spawn a new vehicle or modify(except paint) the one i'm in it goes to arcade shifting mode. Hopefully this wasn't mentioned before.
I reported this for 0.7.x but the bug with being unable put down tire marks in the East Coast town is still present in 0.8.0.0.

Strong Radiator. Car got hit on the Side by a SBR@ 200 km/h (This is a Bug hopefully) Why does this driveline still exist? (Also got hit Sideways by an SBR 4 @ 200 km/h.

The older Pessima seems to have very fragile front axles when you are braking hard or going sideways, at least in the Rally config.
For units of measurement, setting Energy to Joules or Torque to Nm does nothing if Weight is set to Pounds. Same with setting Weight to Kg and trying to use Energy in Foot-pounds or Torque in Pound-feet. In the Engine Debug app, the current gear is not displayed correctly, at least when using an automatic transmission on the default Gavril pickup. It stays on N for every gear except 1 and 2. The other Engine status app (that's less detailed) shows it correctly.
