    It is a cornering light, some real life cars have them. They light up if you go arround a corner or curve for better visibility.
    And it was explained already.

    Reverse gear on automatic transmissions (all cars) seem too long, in some cars, aprox double the length of the manual gearbox.

    Perhaps a calculation error with the gear ratios?

    Example: Ibishu 200BX base. (airspeed) 54kph with manual and 80kph with automatic (and terrible acceleration)

    Le Gran base model can barely reverse at all with automatic.

    I was making a few levels, but now the collisions are all messed up on objects that only use visible mesh.
    I have done a fresh install 3 times now same deal every time. Affects road surfaces or any horizontal flat plane.

    Just randomly fall through invisible holes everywhere, mesh has been checked, made it myself and it worked perfectly in the previous version. Which I will go back to using, which is good for me, but if I can't figure out this collision bug, I can't release anything.

    I was going to release a few other levels but since they use visible mesh only due to not getting colmesh working from sketchup at all. I guess they're obsolete before being released?.

    No big deal, been spending too much time here anyway.

    P.s. vehicles also emit sparks when driving over joins.

    "Added support for pre-damaged gears in the manual gearbox"

    What exactly does this mean? Can gears get damaged from mis-shifting?

    Mods disabled, safe mode, files verified.


    Issue: On A Rocky Road-campaign (note: this happened during Free Roaming), when you go to Free Camera-mode with F8, it works normally. However, when you try to reset it back to the car, the camera stays static and does not follow the car anymore. Triggering mission will reset it back to normal.


    You can only guess how hard it was to drive from the other side of the Utah-map hammering F8 to keep up with the car in order to trigger nearest mission. :D

    Known issue, we need more time to solve it.
    It's not broken, just requires a few more seconds to start up.

    Can you please PM me the map so we can give it a closer look?

    Yeah. Do that too much and say bye to your gears.

    F8 is to teleport the 'Camera to the vehicle'.
    It's not a toggle for free camera.
    Pressing F8 again does not exit you from free camera.
    You need to press SHIFT+C to toggle free camera.

    1. Is this normal when I turn off the engine that he simply goes on by itself. since 0.8.1 update

    2. I have loading errors in the Campaigns "a Rocky start" when i will load the first race against the red Roamer and in the secons race the same.
    Its missing a File.
    The Roamer in the race have paint problems on the "Running Boards" and that is the loading error in the race (trim_ALL.dds)

    3. The backlights painting from the new Caravan Trailer is missing.

    4. i miss in the "load/save" window a "back" funktion to the main overview. That would be good.

    Thanks for the explanation. But what I meant with the CC was that under constant load at a constant speed a DCT will always try to shift to the highest possible gear. For example a VW based DSG box will try to shift to 7th gear when driving at 40mph and when you accelerate it shifts to 5th directly.
    In BeamNG if you take the Sunburst 1.8 CVT and set the CC to 60mph on a flat surface (simple gridmap) the RPM's drop to below 3000 rpm. When you take the DCT in the same car it keeps it in 4th gear and it could happily drive on in 5th at that speed (it doesn't seem to really like 6th though).

    1. Yes, if you use 'ARCADE' transmission mode. Change that from OPTIONS > GAMEPLAY.

    2. See first post. This is caused by some broken mod. Use Clear Cache and Safe Mode in this order.
    Up to you to find what mod is doing that.

    And please, next time make sure to do that before you report bugs, as written in the very first line of the first post.
    It will allow us to spend less time after issues caused by mods (hence not actual game issues)

    3. Do what said in point 2.

    to 2. i have done, no improvement! Still missing graphics and "Trim_XYZ.dds" errors when i load the Roamer with Runnings Boards
    and in the "Save-Mode" are the grafiks OK but the MainMenue looks like on the picture, is this normal?

    EDIT: i have found the bad Mod, which produces the graphic error. He calls "JavieluchoMadMod.zip" i delete him.

    Yea I know, I expressed myself badly, I just meant to say that this is not a DCT specific issue, the normal manual has this behavior too.
    The problem here being that it's quite tricky to find out the "driver intent", right now the transmissions with clutches are mostly tuned for a sporty style of driving so they stay in lower gears, favoring quick acceleration without the need to downshift a lot. You could also tune them to favor cruising which leads to excessive downshifting when suddenly applying throttle.
    We did not decide yet how to best get both, in real cars "driver intent recognition" is a huge topic with lots of work hours being invested in.

    Hey! I noticed that when the vehicle sustains g-forces of around 6.10 G an impact detected message comes up. This is only on specific vehicles. What's the point of this message/why does it stop the vehicle/why not make it turn on the hazards too like real life.

    Yep that's a new feature of the two modern ETKs. The point of the message is to let the user know why the car is suddenly braking ;)
    Good idea about the hazards, will add this as well.

    I just setup the Logitech g920 racing wheel, and all is well and works fine except for the fact that whenever I try to reset my car, the game crashes.
