On all of the YouTube vids, the steering system centers itself way too quickly. I cannot aquire the Xbox 360 Controller For Windows right now, so I will use keyboard most of the time. If the steering was this quick, it will downgrade the game's experience. If the system was numbed for the keyboard, it will make the game's experience better. Please try to Fix it. Thanks, -Connor
Just buy a standard usb xbox 360 controller. It works with both the xbox and the pc + costs less (last i heard) or get a ps3 controller, they work on android, pretty much any desktop os, and of course ps3's
The steering is still a work in progress. Controller and keyboard input will have more filtering, smoothing, context-sensitive steering lock remapping, etc. to make it as natural feeling as possible (a la Forza Motorsport or other console racers). Also, it'll differ between keyboard and controller, again, to make each device as natural feeling and drivable as possible.
Or even a PS2 controller - I have one and use it with RoR a lot. It works perfectly with a simple USB adapter. And these can be user-adjusted, right? Just to clarify. Personally, axis sensitivity is a pretty big deal to me
OK, for a second I though I would need to go dig my logitech momo wheel out of my attic. It's a mess up there. XD Good to hear that you guys have already planned for that!
I made a thread a while back. It was never answered though. Will there be a way of using the mouse to steer. This I find is a really good method since it is super precise and accurate. It will also help those who want an axis to steer there car on but haven't got anything else other than a mouse and keyboard.
