An really cool map. It's simple yet fun. I had fun going up the hill in the 80s custom pessima. You had to be wary of the sudden slippery corners.
Found some random pile of trees in two places outside the map. You must've forgotten about them:

Are you gonna update this map in the future with new roads and such? I see a lot of unused ground in the map. Would be nice if you would use up the wasted space we have of the map.

About the extra roads. There are some logging roads that go about the mountains on each side, as well as another concrete road at the bottom of the hill. You can see some of them here: https://goo.gl/maps/Y4VgSC6xaN12
The thing is, I'm not really sure how to make an off-road/ logging trail in the snow. I also did forget to remove those trees outside the map.
When I started making this, I wasn't really expecting to have an awesome amazing map. I just wanted to make a snowy winter map without much effort.

why not add or put a spawnpoint in the town? It takes a while flying.

Yeah, that's another thing that was kind of overlooked. If I ever decide to update it, I'll probably add another spawn point.

Terrain tools (f2 editor mode), 4th tool from the bottom is called 'average height'. This tool is super-useful, when used just a little wider than the roadway, to sculpt a rough trail into the hillside. You'll want to re-smooth the edges of the road a bit, after this is done, so it doesn't look so jagged. This will generally give you a good offroading trail just be wary if it skips or stutters while you are doing it, to go over the area again from the nearest flat spot, remember it'll be a flat spot at the end too... so end where it's not so noticable. You can also carve with a 4~5 unit wide mesh road using the 2nd and 3rd last tools on the landscaping 'terrain editor' (same f2 editor mode) thing too.
Tools mentioned: last 4 tools, from top to bottom are
AVERAGE HEIGHT, this is usefull for making trails on mountainsides, or making a flat spot to stick a building and smoothing around when done.
RAISE TERRAIN TO MESH, this is useful for bringing terrain up to a mesh road used as a sculpting guide.
LOWER TERRAIN TO MESH, same as above but lowers terrain if it's higher than the mesh, can be buggy at the edges, fix with smoother
CARVE WITH MESH, carves the terrain AROUND the mesh, good for sunken highways, culverts, bridges, or buildings, I don't use this one often.
With RAISE and LOWER to mesh, generally if you bank your corners first on your mesh road, set it to like 0.1 break angle, you'll end up with a really smooth finished product. The slower your CPU, the higher break-angle to use. If you have a nice fast PC it will still slow down a bit but be patient and click about while raising or lowering and eventually you'll see the surface end up where you want it. Sometimes it helps to have a 100% invisible texture to apply to the mesh when checking to see if it's level enough. Run the smoother over this (just narrower than the mesh so you don't sink/raise your edges yet), liberally until you think it's nice and finished, then hide/move/remove the mesh and test. If it's fine, then go ahead and fix up the edges/banks along the edge to something nice to look at. Sometimes it helps to lay a decal road out in your desired area before doing this, so you have a guide (the road will show through 90% of the time where it's level, obviously slight difference may remain, use smoother to fix, again). This is how I've done the entirety of Tennessee USA and also now So-Cal Interstate. The hills in Nevada Interstate are done like this also. I have a 100% invisible AI_GUIDE texture in my roads directory in So-Cal Interstate and Tennessee Roane County maps if you ever need it.

Overall, this seems like a nice map from the previews, was thinking of making a snowy-mess dangerous-to-drive map but I guess now I don't need to! Woohoo. Will post a review when I actually try this out. Good to see someone else making a 4k map for once.

Thanks for the tips! After replaying this, I also realized that I forgot to add falling snow. Uh, maybe I should have spent a bit more time on this map.

Some folks say falling snow lags them a bit, so I'd try to make that optional. Maybe make a mis file patch for no-snow users... it's on you.
I figured I'd mention what I did so that, if it helps, I did my part.

I really really really love this map but the only issue I have had with both this map and mammoth valley is that even though there is snow on the road and it looks really slick you still leave skidmarks, I went ahead and changed about 90% of the roads to the texture you used on the snowdrifts so that the whole road is slick. I do love your map but I just slightly changed it to my personal preference. AWESOME MAP THOUGH!

Could you add the roads on minimap? I think it will need AI support to make it happen, not sure though. I would like to do some rallying, but I can't since I don't know the route...

All you have to do to make decal roads show up in the navigation thing is to change the drivability from -1 to 1 in the world editor :)

It's something I forget all the time, nothing to worry about. By the way, I love the map, some things you could add are a flat spawn area so that the vehicles don't roll when spawning, and maybe some side roads. Otherwise it's got to be one of my favourite maps for cruising.

How one would make it so that terrain is sinkable, so that my vehicles sinks 2ft/66cm into ground and becomes stuck?

Anyone have this infinite load screen problem? I am only having it with this map, it loads, you hear the car sound, you can drive like normal and hear the engine, crashes etc, but you can't see the car, never have this problem with Roane County, Utah and other maps. Do you know what is causing this loading screen to not disappear?

Delete old cache dir, is something you can try.....\Documents\BeamNG.drive\cache (any #). Though next time you load a particular map it will have to regenerate a few of the cached 'dae models, 2nd 3rd etc times will be fast again though.
Also, this can happen when the spawn point is bad. This is what happened to Tennessee map before it was fixed/updated when 0.9.x 1st dropped.
Though, for me, my map is currently working, I haven't tried this one yet, I will check it tomorrow.
Copy a spawn point out of ECA or something for your map so it lets you in, over the existing spawn point, and then you can fix.
Spawn points created on v 0.7.x = broken on 0.9.
