How much skill do you have in blender, you need to have at least 3-4 months of skill, and that's just for a simple body change (i.e. Make a roamer into a 2 door)

Don't start with something as complicated as an entire car. Try starting small, like a bumper or another small part, and work on your modeling skill from there. After that, you'll also need to JBeam, and that can be another large learning curve.

What they are saying, is that instead of going 4th gear and attempt to model an entire car, start with something more simple. A part, or random stuff.
You need to get good bases before trying to model something as complex as a car.

Or... I suppose... If you really wanted to make this mod happen, you could find a Model of a fox body and modify it into the vehicle you want. That would theoretically be easier than modeling the entire vehicle in one shot. (with the original model authors permission of course.)

That being said however, even if you have 0 experience with modeling, if you find a good tutorial and have a great understanding of cars, you can bust out an amazing model with some patience. I used a tutorial I found on youtube which was really good. The guy was making a Nissan Skyline. I would link it, but every time I find one of these threads I can never seem to find the tutorial again. It was fantastic and enabled me to make the Bugatti that I did never end up porting all the way in game. Some day...

Point being, if you have enough patience to persevere even with 0 experience, you can still do a great job... It just won't be very quick. It took me about 7 months (only about 11 computer hours though) to make my first car model, but that was every part of the car including the suspension, brakes, driveline, engine, lights, interior, and so on and so forth.
