What is the Tow Boom?

I was looking at my controls today and i saw one for "Tow Boom" (pickup). Can someone tell me what this part is and where to add it? I have never heard of it in BeamNG.drive!

All official vehicles have a "tow hook" (a passive, receiving end) in the front. So, it's very likely for an official tow truck to be in the plans.

 

There's already an official tow truck. Or is that a mod?

 

I believe it's a mod, there's no official tow truck that I know of.

 

I don't know if this is related, but when you press ''L'', this happens on the front of D-Series. A coupler.

I've seen this too. On the front of the frame on every car there is a coupling point. My only guess is that there will be a tow truck in the next update because of the "boom" text. I wonder if it will be a flatbed...

a tow truck is just what a car crashing game needs. Great to see

 

The tow point nodes seem to be the same color as the trailer hitch nodes. Maybe we'll be able to tow a car from either point? It would be nice to be able to tow a RWD car "correctly."
