Ive tried everything i can think of trying to get these materials to load their texture images on my recent WIP level.
I cant do it through the T3D world editor when the images are in a .ZIP file. :(

    Screenshots:

Water plane will be replaced w/ water blocks later. ignore road going into water.

^concrete material is the only one working for me

Level file is attached below and here. (DO NOT DITRIBUTE)

    Please help.

It seems like the problem comes from the textures : I have been able to fix the road_ramp_2lane texture by importing it into gimp and reexporting it with the BC1/DXT1 compression format.

So this is either that you didn't exported with the right compression format (BC1/DTX1 if there's no transparency, BC3/DTX5 in the other case), or that something didn't worked during the export or the .zip compression

I exported them as dds with no compression via gimp. THANK you <3. that was literally my next guess when i saw that the scrncap on the DDS page showed BC3 compression selected. But i doubted it too much to check.

Don't do that. Then again you'll have nice white teeth for your funeral.
Anyway, I seem to be having issues getting .dds images to work out of GIMP as well. Have heard the .dds plugin is possibly broken???

Have you exported the texture with the generate mipmaps, exactly like the screenshot on the DDS page ?

I can't import .dds files into gimp with the version I installed in my laptop (GIMP 2.8.18) (but I can export them without any problem), while I'm able to import them without any problem on my main computer, running GIMP 2.8.xx. I don't remember the exact version name, it could be a previous one as it was installed for way longer than the version on my laptop. So maybe it's where the problem comes from

the plugin has always seemed to work fine for me. Importing and exporting.

Yep. always used minimaps. I tried it with BC1, transparent ones with the BC3 compression and everything.

Thanks. I can import .dds just fine. When I export they do not show in BeamNG. I need to experiment a bit more and see if I'm doing something
wrong on the compression side of things.

I recently downloaded 2.8.18 as well and it didn't change the symptoms.

    Hey @Lurker ,

I wanted to have a look at your map and the corresponding problems but unfortunately a lot of the stuff is simply missing. Would you mind to send us the leftover files as well?

It might be that you missed to include the files which are stored in the %username%\Documents\BeamNG.drive\levels\tokyo-highways folder?!

Oh also, the map does not spawn you at the highway. gotta spawn the car there manually with f8 && f7 keys
