You mean the achievements? i like the idea. My point is that this is too generic. "go X lenght", "Break everything", "get X air time". How about we get to the true meat of what an ACHIEVEMENT means? "Go over 200 mph with a stock car with tires deflated". "go at least 60 mph at 90 degree vertical inclination" (you can call it "Huston, we've got a car.") "British car", about managing to break every single engine and/or turbo part without using any kind of crash or app And so on. Remember the stanley parable? achievements should not be something that you will eventually get but something that you have to go out of your way to achieve. That's why they are achievements anyways.
Going strong: Go x amount of distance with no coolant. Rolling death trap: Overheat your brakes to the point of them not working. Submarine: Drown your engine to 90% and then get out of the water before it hydrolocks. By a hair: Pass another vehicle in an scenario or campaign by a hair.
Just a scratch: Crash your car, and keep driving for another 5 miles Sideburn: Set the Burnside Special on fire. I have the power: Add stage 1 parts to any car. I need more power!: Add stage 2 parts to any car. It's not enough!: Add stage 3 parts to any car. It's over 9000!: Add stage 4 parts to any car. BX200: Go 200 mph in a 200BX. Maine street: Drive on every road in East Coast, USA Not a tourist: Drive on every road in Utah, USA Lap complete: Drive on every road on Hirochi Raceway. Jungle rocker: Drive on evrey road on Jungle Rock Island. Beamception: Set your license plate as "BeamNG."
Firefighter: Extinguish a burning car (By putting it in a lake) Serve and Obliterate: Finish every police scenario by destroying the suspect's car Fireproof: Drive 500m in a burning car We don't need a wall: Drive 500m in the Border Patrol D-Series "We're In A Truck!": Crash a car and get stuck in a dry van trailer or box truck.
Trust me, I'm an engineer: Make the physics engine crash Experienced modder: Have over 10 errors in the log Delivery Livery: Carry a prop or a vehicle (without dropping it) on another vehicle for over 5km Aliens: Turn on Mars gravity The way it was built to: Break a gear on the Civetta Bolide Completionist: Get 100% on all scenarios and campaigns
I know this isnt an achievement but id like to have a stat for how much $ worth of damage was done in total.
The Italian Job: tow "stuff" with trailer and the Bolide on Italy map Unrealistic Racing Game: turn on Jupiter gravity for more grip in curves You don't like Sushi / Burgers / Bratwurst: customize your Covet / LeGran / ETK (or every other car) to a ricer Pimp my ride: Make your own config with thumbnail and everything Gone in 60 seconds: Take the Barstow and place some police cars and set them into "chase mode" on West Coast I like every color, except gold: complete every campaign or scenario with at least bronze Münchhausen: drive 10 km with the old cannon (without a stop/ respawn or whatever)
Late Delivery: Tow something over 300km/h for 10 seconds (the flail doesn't count). That Will Buff Out: Split a car in 3 parts in one crash. I Bought The Law: Buy a lightbar, ram bar and a police paintjob for your vehicle and destroy another wrecking destroying yours. Three, Two, One, Liftoff!: Jump for 10 seconds with a car in flames.
I'm assuming that achievements will be deactivated if the game client detects mods? This is done with just about every other applicable game I know, so just checking.
