I do not believe there is a thread for this very specialized topic, so here it goes. Under a very heavy hit from a truck or something, is it possible for the suspension on a car (Gavril Grand Marshel, Ibishu Covet, Bruckell LeGran, etc.) to completely collapse and tie rods break and control arms snap, and have the wheel come flying off all together. I know that there are some cars in RoR that do this, like gabesters Gavril G2, but it is extremely unlikely for that to happen, I've been playing RoR since way before the G2 came around, and I've only broken a wheel off it around 3 times. But more to the point, to we keep it as strong in RoR, or do we allow more play and for suspension components to bend and break easier and for the wheel to come off easier. But that also begs the question of how we do that. Do we define specialized nodes for this job, you know, like nodes that can separate under high tension and forces in general, or do we use weaker beams, or a nice and more likely combination of the two?

At the moment every part of the suspension deforms and breaks realistically. Tie rods can snap, control arms can bend and break, and yes, even the entire wheel can detach.

Awesome! If this game has NFS-style cop chases (various "heat" levels), damaged suspension might be interesting. I remember in some games you could evade the police by driving off of an overpass or bridge. With BeamNG, you would run the risk of disabling your car.

Thank you for your quick reply! I love this idea and am excited to see it realistically implemented.
