There was a thread with someone offering to maintain his mod for him, but 99 said he doesn't want anyone to use his content; for any reason.
for some reason, the V10 engine with the D15 gives me a Vehicle Exception. does anyone have that same Issue? i tried clearing the cache too, but without any sort of Luck.
I love the additional parts from this mod, but a lot of the configs are missing parts or have the wrong parts installed by default. Any chance of getting a version of this with no configs and just the parts?
Could I get an idea of the next configs that will be released? This is simply due to the fact in that many people are making theories about WCUSA, and I want to know if you have any skins for that maps planned?
Well in the end the crowds calmed and my shady VM Fix Still is up (with 99s permission to fix the .pc files). It replaces the Custom VM Engines and Gearboxes with the Vanilla part that comes closest to it. Not amazing but at least the bodystyles work. Some skins are broken tho (Miramar is affected, maybe others) And a few configs too (No time to go through every single one of them Link to Thread
For those yet to download, it is a nice partial fix to at least make most of the VM configs work, and in the case of ones with stock engines and transmissions, I just swapped for a rough equivalent in DPMP.
Could you upload yours? When you get permission Ofc. or maybe send me a list of the cars you had to modify so i can make mine complete?
Maybe I should have clarified a little. I didn't mod or change anything (lack of experience, time, etc.), but I changed the parts in-game whenever I wanted to play using a config that required the VM parts to be changed back to the base game equivalent. For example, whenever I use the '86/9 VM Pessima Rally configs, I change the engine to DPMP 2.1L HR-Tec, as well as anything else that may be useful. Tested a bit on the old Pessima, and changing to a DPMP part on the SBR4. Can't confirm for any others, but the new Pessima coupe unibody is just straight up broken (mentioned on your thread some time back). I've been away from my computer the last few weeks, so I haven't saved any personal configs to lessen the hassle of changing the parts every time I want to play. Regardless, I'm not sure if Djplopper would want a mod that directly uses DPMP to hotfix broken things in VM, though it couldn't hurt to ask.
Honestly, that is pretty clever. I didn't think of that. And I'm 99 (heh) percent sure that dj wouldn't mind. Granted, you should ask anyways, but i'm pretty sure he'd say yes, as long as proper credit is given.
