Well i had a few problems first i couldnt get the vehicle to show up in the vehicle selector but i figured out that u have to zip it up and put it in the mods folder instead of the vehicles folder. Once i fixed that i had an issue with the vehicle actually loading into the game, the console kept saying there was an issue reading the JSON and aborting the load. But i figured out that when i copied the nodes and beams over to my jbeam file there was an extra " ] " at the end.

The second was my fault for not figuring it out sooner but the first one would seem to me that the tutorial is outdated and the said method of getting your vehicle into the game no longer works.

THANK YOU. I don't know how the devs think that tutorial can still be used. I was very pumped about creating content, but after trying several times I noticed that the tutorial is outdated and my hype went away... Maybe, some day I'll think about trying again...

The first part is the problem. It does'nt teach us the basics. In the newer versions you need to create a ''INFO.JSON'', and the page says we need to create a ''name.cs''. (I was really bothered when Nadeox kept saying it was not outdated)

I think that @Nadeox1 was asking about what is outdated, you might of interpret that differently what he wrote?

INFO.JSON is not a required file to make vehicle work.
name.cs file is indeed deprecated. Having it or not will not do anything.

I added a small note about, but that bit needs a small update.

The guide is still 'relevant' to the current versions.
The lack of mention of that file, and the mention of that 'name.cs' file does not block you from making vehicles :)

If I am correct, INFO.JSON is needed to show the car at the Selector, right?
Now I can agree 100% with you :)
I know it doesn't, but I was really disappointed about not seeing my car in the Selector, and I gave it a break. :/

No, it will still show up anyway, but it won't display any information.
If your doesn't display at all, then your issue is another one.

How is it outdated? you don't include how to use Pressure wheels or the new powertrain system. How the hell can you ask that?

Also the existing car making mega page is missing vital pieces of information. I love your game and what you have done but it is extremely inaccessible to new people trying to make new cars . sorry for the sharpness of my reply, but I have been working on making a car for months with limited success.

Information is sort of scattered around the wiki.
    Powertrain: Powertrain
    Pressure Wheels: PressureWheels
In general, we try to make so that the new stuff has its own Wiki page at some point.

We will update that page at some point (404 - spare time not found), in order to address the lack of 'recent' stuff reference in there.
