Playing with the Sunburst after (finally) completing the moose test scenario I was wondering why it was so much less fun to drive than the Port Shakedown version. That one is loads of fun to slide around and does AWD donuts. One of my favourite cars in the game. This one is the 302hp Sport RS AWD and it surely should be fun too? Then it hit me. This car like all the other standard Sunbursts has the ESC switched on! I switched it off and the car came to life. It is actually a joy to drive just like you'd expect a car like that to be. It now does AWD donuts and drifts like a champ. I can't believe I have nearly 50 hours in this game and only just realised this.
It's kind of like having 100 hours in game and not realizing the Pessima's radio is playing Darude - Sandstorm.
I have also found that even if you switch the ESC off it doesn't disable ABS, and sometimes it randomly switches itself back on after recovering the car. It's best to go to the garage switch them both off and save it as a new config.
don't you mean the 200bx --- Post updated --- I only had the game for 5 months and it already has nearly 500 hours
Yep, their system called 4motion and it is a part time 4wd with a haldex rear diff for torque splitting. Edit: Actually I got that wrong, it is permanent 4wd with 90/10 split for normal driving and 50/50 when it slips. It's pretty effective, you have to try hard to get it to break traction even with no ESC.
They dropped the R after the mk3 for some reason. The later ones are a bit more power though, mine is the 2.8l mk4 which is just over 200hp.
