A.I mode idea

    hello
    i was thinking that it would be pretty cool and useful if there was an A.I mode that would simply follow you in the same path that you follow.... its isnt small idea but it think it would be pretty useful! what does everyone else think?

    Agree. Could be different option to the "chase" mode

    Remember when A.I. Follow was an option? I believe that that is what youŕe talking about, but I don know why the developers removed it. Follow made the vehicles follow your path like chase does, but they stop before they hit you. I think that AI should detect other A.I. to avoid colisions. This can be done a few ways.
    1. A simple added node out in front, on the sides, and back for braking upon node collision with something.
    2. A prediction system that predicts where each vehicle will be in 1 second (runs every 4 frames)
    3. Simply stopping at intersections for 2 seconds (not reliable, but realistic?)

    More AI modes will come, when the AI system is stable/finalized.
    The modes we have no are the 'basics' of AI.
    All the additional modes will more likely be based over these.
    Once the AI work is done, we can start thinking about adding more modes.

    You don't build a tower without a good base :)

    this game is so diverse and full of depth that i keep forgetting that its not nearly done yet even... :p well done devs! thats one way to identify if a game will be great :)

    You do make a good point.

    OT: AI in this game is already unbelievably complex, most people just don't get how long it takes to teach a car to drive using super specific instructions.

    Well the Citadel is 3 times taller than the world's tallest structure, so that's more like No Man's Sky's tower. Tall but unstable/missing support.

    new AI modes would be pretty cool anyhoo. Wish they were still here with the following mode.
