I think it is because the map has left its planning phases and is now on an early development phase. I really like what they do, as most other companies would rather keep their game's development as a secret, even years after the release (I'm looking at you, Rockstar!). Random question: Do you think we'll be able to drive on the WCUSA's canals, like GTA San Andreas/V's?
I hope they will add jog wheel to replay control, like Viper racing had, actually Viper racing had best replay UI ever in any game I know of. At 0:30 you can barely see gray jog wheel right of the stop button in this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch/?v=LMrx94_tIag You could use it same way as jog wheel in VCR, kinda frame by frame advancing, faster you rotated jog wheel, faster was the playback and upon release paused state resumed. Viper racing had actually many other bits way ahead of it's time, one of the rare sims with real damage to cars, also driving was quite nice, because you actually could drift in it, sounds were not bad for that time either. There was not much else at 1998 or after that, Viper Racing, SLRR and BeamNG are perhaps only games that have had damage and overall immersion factor what I would call real, BeamNG is one that has taken it to whole new level though, so taking good ideas from Viper Racing and SLRR might make it bit too good? GPL was nice also, but open wheelers were not my thing. OT: I think update will come 6th of next month or some other day on that week.
Wait you mean 1/4/2017? as in april fools day. I can imagine an April fools update like what Minecraft used to do (not sure if they still do it i just don't pay attention to that game anymore) I hope so.
I have no idea if I am writing this in the correct topic or not, but I guess I can still ask. What will happen once all the announced vehicles are ingame ? Will the devs announce new vehicles ?
They might. At least I hope so. I have several vehicles from the concept list that I don't want to see die.
I certainly hope so. I also hope that they'll only announce new vehicles three, four or five at a time. That would certainly cut down on the confusion over the order they will be released in (despite the fact that the planned release order has been announced several times), and allow the devs more flexibility to respond to vehicle suggestions.
I have a feeling that new vehicles will just be announced as the Hopper or K-series was with just teasers or announcements one or two at a time. I am sure they don't want another concept vehicle list situation. The long list of confirmed cars from 2012 (planned cars, not concept list) was probably just because at the time the team was so small and that was best way at the time. (Helped keep community interest in the game, easy for Gabe to make a bunch of concepts at once, etc...) The "over the horizon" post made it clear that car development will continue at least.
Not an American, I see. Why does the US have to be different with everything that has to do with units?
Funny that most Americans think that everyone else is wrong, when they are the ones who need to be special. Kinda silly to me, just use proper units.
