Hello Guys, What do you think it will be possible to submit a few cars from the appearing in 2014's "Project Cars" insert into BeamNG? Since these cars are extremely rich in detail.
cars are model files, they are almost always compatible or possible to convert.... For BeamNG purposes you don't want highly detailed exteriors (or rather to say high poly). You want full running gear, chassis, suspension, interior etc which most racing games including that one don't need so they don't bother. Those cars are too high poly to deform nicely anyway. In theory you could load those models into something like blender, play with it, eventually export for BeamNG and slap a JBeam on it but it wouldn't deform nicely. It would also be illegal.
I see you spreading misinformation everywhere, you really should stop. As SixSixSevenSeven said, they're far too detailed to use in BeamNG, although if they use lesser-detailed LOD models you might have a chance there. I know BeamNG allows converts (that aren't requested for takedown by the author), although with its models being .bff format I'm not sure how you'd convert them.
Re: Cars Import von "Project Cars" Look I didnt realise okay I did not read up on this...my bad! - - - Updated - - - Thanks for explaining it..
Aye, technically it does. But the act itself is still a copyright violation and don't you agree its just safer if we don't bother going there?
Re: Cars Import von "Project Cars" EDIT: Posted something, realized it was a hell of a necro-thread bump, deleted it. My bad.
Re: Cars Import von "Project Cars" I am the spirit of the thread, who dares awaken me from my slumber? (Naw jk m8, it's cool.)
