Update: Mud is alread there and it is fine-tuned now, I have tested it already and I like the physics very much! So where is the problem to add tire tracks just for the feeling, which disappear after 100 meters? Furthmore please add more mud to some of the offroad areas on the maps with different moistures.
Ok, I like Canada, the big trees and everything is just bigger than everywhere else. ...I hope you like the idea of adding mud, there is no need of adding it so extensive like in the game "Spintires", but just adding it in any form would add a useful&fun addition!
He's saying that he hopes they accomplish it... It's not like we can't hope for it to happen. Who knows, they might be able to do it. --- Post updated --- And also, parts of Canada speak french.
Well, there is mud already, as @bob.blunderton said, but the devs stated it was very unlikely they could implement mud physics like ST. But that's something all of us hope to happen for, right?
As the destruction of different objects, this dynamic mud can be calculated within a specific radius around the player as it is solved within other games with such features. So the demand could go very low and solvable.
With the BeamNG engine, something like that would have to be jBeamed. And it would probably be more laggy with a circle of jBeam following you around. This is car physics, not terrain physics.
The engine in the new BeamNG update is better than it was so it is possible but not at the moment. Just wait for the new updates It is gonna come, i know it.
Yes! It is so much fun to go offroad even now, but squishy mud would cap it all off and would generate uncountable new scenario possibilities (for modders and for the developers)
Didn't the mud get improved in the update??? From the devblog: "Tuned mud and sand ground models with shearStrength and roughness, now deep mud and sand are much more difficult to traverse without good ride height and off road tires."
The basic mud has the game, with different moistures. I like it. But I miss tracks of the wheel in a specific range of moisture which also affects the passing of the car and the feel. And please add more mud roads within the official maps like on the island, it is so much fun to drive through mud!
