Is there a reason you don't simply package this as a /mods/ friendly zip? The virtual filesystem is happy to do what you need without having people mod game files. You won't get parts-selectability but you won't mess anything up either. Just put the folder structure you need inside the zip and if it's in the /mods/ folder it will take precedence over any existing files.

These are low res pictures, rather than modeled lights like every other car. They aren't even clear to show the inside of the lights.
OK, that's nice... It's only meant to be a visual mod. Now go on and stop pointing out just the negative things about my mods.
Well if it's visual it should be at least visually pleasing. It looks like something out of Grid for the Nintendo DS
Am I missing something? I haven't installed the mod, but it looks to be in line with what's included with the game. No?
