These 'hot fixes' feel more like fun mini updates. Thanks guys! My favorite notes: - Added Sunburst “Off-Road” configuration, based on the previous “Port Shakedown” scenario configuration - Added more grip to Race tires to act more as true racing slicks than street legal tires
Don't question them, just enjoy them. Seriously though, the devs said before 0.9 came out that they wanted to conserve update numbers before 1.0, so that may be a part of it.
Whatever changes were made to the steering and ffb are much appreciated! I've been having trouble getting the ffb to feel right. I know it's totally subjective, but I had some gnarly rattles coming from my G27 and this hotfix has almost completely eliminated it. The race slicks feel like race slicks now, cars actually stick and the sidewalls have a nice sweet spot where you can get on them, hammer down and drive the thing through the corner. To me it feels similar to a mix of rfactor and assetto Corsa, and that's a great thing!!! Keep up the good work!
Yeah seriously, its never been easier to control high horsepower cars. The 900+ hp config for the S-Series mod really puts the improvements made to the tire physics into perspective. Honestly it's amazing, great job Devs keep optimizing!
I haven't really talked about 0.9, but, unlike most people, who only care about the hopper, I really liked the polish added to the game. The new Police Lights, the faster FPS, the fact that a ton of the annoying bugs were removed, that's what I like. I like high quality games over crappy ones with a ton of stuff. Although there are many people who don't care about the fixes, and only want content, I decided to voice my opinion from the other side of the aisle. (Not that I don't like the hopper, it's the polish that made the update for me. The polish always makes the update)
The update to the grip level of racing slicks really makes some race model vehicles understeer. With the Civetta Bolide 390 GTR Group 4 car, you can take the rear toe from 30 down to 15, and it'll handle much better while still keeping stability. Same goes for a few other cars. Looks like the default suspension setups could use some work after this update.
So many good fixes and added content in this hotfix. EDIT: FFB have never been as good as it is now. My force feedback settings are 1000 strength and 10 max strength and i experience miscalculated ffb/vibrations a lot less than before. This is really great. The added functions of changing fuel loads is phenomenal and the ctrl+q bug finally got fixed.
I couldn't make myself watch your entire video, but if I had to guess it's something to do with the mods you are using, not the game. In the future, put bugs/problems like this under bug reports or Questions and Support and it'll be easier for people to help you
