I hope that he would make the body's separate mods like the sunburst SW and his electric variant or as a matter of fact make some separate mods so we can choose what we want
Guys. VM is dead, 99 abandoned it. dunno why but he did. there was a pretty damn heated conflict about that and it resulted in me getting permission to change the .pc files to work with the stock parts. half of the configs still dont work but better than nothing. i might have another go on it in a month or two.
0.8 broke a lot in it and to be honest, it's a mod for game in development and not a planet called earth worth keeping.
I wouldnt say not worth keeping. Its an amazin mod and ill do something with it as soon as i find the time to do it but for now we have to deal with its demise and make the best of our janky fix. And to be honest its not that much that its broken. You could either isolate the mod so it could work with the old powertain by adding all resources to make it independent or simply convert it.(theres a pretty good documentation on that) all the models and jbeams are fine. the problem is 99 didnt allow me to update it. (thats why the conflict errupted in the first place. i tried to save his mod and he just insisted on completely drowning it. and if someone wants to do something with it, all the original files are still in the fixed VM. i just changed the config files (.pc .json) / deleted them. if you know what youre doing and have understood how the jbeams work (config part. nodes and beams are fine) its a job of one or two days to fix it.
I worked with NinetyNine on the VarietyMod, and I'm sad it's gone as well. Last time I spoke with him however, he did say he was going to re-release all the bodystyles as their own mods, so keep a look out for that!

IIRC wrinkle345 tried repairing the VM a while ago, not sure what ever happened to it. I tried repairing the New Pessima's Powertrain but it's quite complicated. That, and I already found a working AWD mod for it anyway, so I didn't put much effort into it either. The Sunburst Spacewagon still works fine though:
