My family has a used Mercedes Benz ML350 from a couple years ago. We are switching over to a 2017 Ford Explorere Platinum edition. I want to know which one is better. The picture of the Mercedes was taken at the dealer before we bought it and got plates on it. So I would like to know which one is better. The Ford or the Mercedes.
I would go with the Ford Explorer, not because there's a police package for it, but it has optional intelligent 4WD with Terrain Management. Dimension-wise, it's going to be a typical SUV, but that should make it easier for getting groceries, because it can fit more in the trunk space, and the base curb weight of it is only 2015 kg. so it's somewhat heavy, and as far as I know heavy = worse fuel economy, but that does not apply here. If anything, go with the Ford Explorer, it's cheaper and won't hurt your wallet as badly as the Mercedes Benz ML350. FORD EXPLORER: $39,595 cash MERCEDES ML350: $62,200 cash
I'd say Explorer, we don't have one here in Britain, but the ML350 was rated the single least satisfying car sold in the UK in one year (I can't remember which) in the TG car survey.
Our Mecedes is used so it was only 34-35 thousand dollars. Plus we getting the top end model of the Explorer so yeah. The price you listed for the Explorer is the base model and the Mercedes is the brand new one. But i'm not the one buying the car my family is.
Not to mention... The explorer has more horsepower/torque and better mpg's. Also, it's a newer model year so why not take it instead? It could have plenty of options that ML350 probably dosen't have.
Explorer is the best. ALLLLTHOOUUGHH i suggest getting one of these: along with this: --- Post updated --- Only for a very afordable price of $999,999,999,999.99.
Yeah sure a Bentley that will do. Yeah no I like the Bentley (not in that color though) but that is too expensive. Don't care about the house though. That is very helpful.
Or you could get yourself a Subaru Forester (Symmetrical AWD ftw) if you/your family intend/s to go on rough terrain with it
Then do you really need an SUV? A more rational choice would be a station wagon, especially because it's lighter, it can get better fuel economy and it's still large enough for an entire family + their luggage
Nope. My family wants a lot of comfort items and besides right now due to issues in my family we ain't getting any new cars at all so yeah this post is kinda of useless right now because we put buying a new car on hold. Besides my family would never get a Volvo nope not at all. Neither would I. So yes my family isn't getting any car.
