I'm just wondering that BeamNG vehicles are somewhat disappointing. So here are some of my suggestions. A new vehicle from Burnside. A car that has tail fins and a 50s look (my requested name is Shark). Some new presets on then Gavril Grand Marshal. The police package has a cage for the suspect to sit in, and the taxi variant that has a barrier that separates the passenger from the driver (similar for the cage thingy). A new limousine variant and a Hearse variant. A new vehicle from Gavril, the F-Series. A set of fire trucks and other emergency trucks. A default variant, a tanker variant, a ladder variant, and a tiller variant. This one has to do something with JBeam. I really wanted that the vehicles do not require JBeam anymore. Why? -JBeam causes lag. -Can boost performance. -JBeams are too hard to make. But I want a new application that will convert JBeam into a some kind of preset that can be driven, can be customized and many more! Note: I don't know what will happen after I posted this. Q and A Q:Can we comment, rate it? A:Yes (Obviously) Q:Can we add suggestions? A:Sure (But make sure it's related to the topic) Q:Can we post a negative comment? A:Yes (If something is wrong), No (If you hate it or me) Q:Can the staff members also comment? A:Yes (Especially gabester, nadeox1 and other members involving vehicles)
Hello, seeing as you are new here, posts like this belong in Vehicle suggestions, located here. https://www.beamng.com/threads/vehicle-suggestions.79/
Uhm, JBeam is the entire reason this game exists. The game uses this stuff even down to the wheels. You'd need an entirely separate physics system, and at that point, why not mod/play something without softbody physics.
@F_23_D The vehicle suggestions thread has been around since 2012, and it has only contributed like only two things to the games development, mostly the T-Series. The devs have not used it since.
It was night time here on my place (ex. American Time is 12:47PM, Philippine Time 12:47AM) I'm too sleepy. I know BeamNG exists because of JBeam (Hence the JBeam on BeamNG) but I have a crappy PC. And when I go to the dashboard camera my fps (usually around 15fps) will turn my fps to 2-4fps. Really laggy. So why you are recommending me to not play BeamNG? I really liked the game (because of physics, not like the NFS:WM 2012, Grand Theft Auto IV and V). OR.... BeamNG can make JBeams fps friendly.
Why aren't they FPS friendly? Jbeam is the way the game works! What should being a staff member have to do with Jbeam? --- Post updated --- EDIT: Just realized that this guy is probably coming from GTA V (GTA V Tornado is his profile pic), so he most likely has no clue what's going on.
It lags my game, I just get like 2-4 fps with the lowest settings. Also I'm a favor of the Classics, just like the Declasse Tornado.
Used to be, not anymore . You'll be able to tell staff members apart on this forum because they have a special badge. Anyways, it's possible to go into the Options menu, then into the Gameplay tab, and disable inter vehicle collisions. This will give you a large performance boost, at the cost of not being able to crash vehicles into each other. Otherwise, you can't do much. JBeams are a set of nodes/beams, which are the core of the games physics. They are carefully set up and tuned so the vehicle will behave realistically.
The game tells me to follow the guide to run faster on the performance tabs. Also, it not helping on my PC. (It's crappy)
Are all of you settings on lowest? Is HDR disabled? Are vehicle reflections off? Are shadows disabled? If so, and you still have crappy FPS, then there's nothing we can do about it, unless you build a new pc. Sorry.
It's not actually really crappy fps, I always have 12-15fps which is ok. But when I go to the dashboard cam, my fps are around 2-4. I'm actually going to buy a new one. (But it will take ages)
Don't come on the forum suddenly and call beamNG cars "Dissapointing." The game wouldn't be possible without Jbeam. If you don't know how it works, don't complain.
It's NOT actually disappointing, I'm only disappointed on the lack of cars in the game. (A lot of them but still lacking)
Again, we only have 1 person (Gabester) making vehicles, and vehicles take MONTHS to make, so we have a slow rate of vehicles added. There's nothing we can do about it.
Your low FPS is entirely your own fault. The game isn't even that hard to run especially at lower settings. Don't complain to the developers about how the game is too hard for your PC to handle. If your PC doesn't meet the minimum specs, don't play the game.
