Adding more colors to the color selector for default beamng cars

Hi i was wondering how do you add more color choices to a car that comes with the game? I have a mod i am working on would like to have it add more selectable colors to the base car.

just pick a colour (damn americans) and then just click "save colour" no need to make a mod for things that already exist in game...

 

That's not what he asked.

He wants to add more selectable colors (which, btw, is just the american spelling for "colour") to the official vehicles, as a part of a mod he's working on.

I believe a custom info.json in a subfolder in /content/vehicles/ named after the zip file containing the official vehicle files would override the default one.

Operating in the vehicles folder is deprecated though.
