Since there's a thread about the most forgettable official vehicle, I thought that having a poll-equipped thread about what people's top 5 favorite official vehicles are would be a good idea. Here are my top 5:

#1: The 1987-1991 Ibishu Covet. This car is my favorite because of how much fun I've had with it over the past year and a half of playing BeamNG.drive, and also because of how it is so much fun to drive. Its high customizability, decent amount of configurations, and great race/rally variants are more plusses for it. Even though many people may hate how the Covet sounds, I personally like its unique soundtrack as it screams its way to redline. It's a front-wheel-drive car, and a very light one at that, which means that it is very easy to control and quite agile for its size. Even the base DX model can beat many cars with higher power than it around tracks like the Industrial Racetrack Perimeter in reverse and the Industrial Rallycross track, and it's quite a stylish little hatchback for what it is. It's doesn't have that much power or speed compared to most of the other vehicles in BeamNG, but what it DOES have is usable and controlled power that can be put to great effect to make this car a short-course cheap-car king.

#2: The 2015-2018 ETK K-Series. Although I personally didn't like this car when it first came out (mostly because of the WEEEEAAAKKK standard suspension), after the recent updates strengthened its suspension by a lot, I started to appreciate the virtues of the game's only modern luxury coupe. Its front end is relentlessly grippy, giving up only when pushed far too hard. Its engines are absolutely fantastic, with tons of torque available in the low ranges and quite a bit of oomph in the higher revs. But what I absolutely love about this car is how it uses its power so well. This is a 1.5-to-1.6-tonne car that we're talking about here, with only 322 horsepower at maximum (currently). However, it just doesn't matter to the 3.0 I6 turbo that it has about 5 kilos/horsepower to shove around; it will BLAST the K-Series up to the same top speed as the old Porsche 959 did back in 1986. Unlike the 959, however, the K-Series will turn on a time, brake fantastically well, and accelerate much quicker out of turns, and (in my opinion, at least) will look as good if not better.

#3: The 1989-2001 Ibishu Hopper. This car got me into rock-crawling like nothing else ever has before, mostly because I wasn't a particularly big fan of the big, beefy Gavril off-roaders and I also wanted something that looked relatively standard-fare. The Hopper's light weight, short wheelbase, next-to-nil overhangs, fantastic torque range, and standard four-wheel-drive makes it probably one of the best off-roaders that we've ever had in this game, and without the little Japanese jeep in this game (seriously, bros, what is your problem with it being Japanese?), I don't think that I would have ever have gotten as interested as I am in this form of motorsport. Also, this thing is a great drift car from standard, a very fun-to-drive vehicle in just normal driving, a great little experimenting vehicle, a highly-customizable car from standard, and possibly one of the best-looking cars in this game EVER.

#4: The 1981-1988 Civetta Bolide. You all may be wondering, "Why this almost-uncontrollable piece of junk when there are far better cars in this game?" Well, that's because of one major reason: This car "drove" me to attempt to get better at BeamNG.drive. Without this car, I don't think I would have been half as passionate about trying to get my driving skill up as I am now. Twitchy? Yes. Volatile? Oh, it sure is, even with the recent updates taming it down a little. But it is SO rewarding to drive this car well when you get it right, and did I mention the other great things about it? It's the only mid-engined car that we currently have in BeamNG from standard, it's the only Italian car in the game, it's super-awesome-looking, and it also has a decent amount of performance and customization from standard.

#5: The 1963-1968 Ibishu Miramar. While this car is hated upon by many other players for....errr...reasons (probably its body), I loved this car from day one. In GTZ form, it is officially the lowest-powered official drift car, and in race/custom form? Oh, dang, this car is a beast. With the massive fender flares, splitter and duckbill wing, and the race-tuned parts, the Miramar Race is probably one of my favorite configurations ever made for this game, full-stop. 200 horsepower of sheer goodness in a car that weighs under 1,100 kilograms (I'm American, but I'm doing using kilograms for weight for everyone else), with everything built to control that power? Oh, yes, please. In fact, around VR City, the Class 6 Miramar Race can keep up quite well with even the highest-tier supercars simply because of its absurd cornering abilities. Finally, this car is quite customizable, a great-looking sedan (in my opinion), a very unique car compared to the other sedans in this game, and just such a great addition that makes my gameplay so much more fun.

Type your reasons for voting your top-5 list below.

EDIT: Edited out a few issues with my first post.

    I voted on:

D-Series: Nice pickup, a lot of variations, with the mod "trailerpack" it's fun to tow stuff, also very good for offroad, the AT4 gearbox is very realistic

Grand Marshall: I love big sedans, the car is pretty, it drives exactly like I expect from a car of this size, engine, year... It's fun to use on chases agasin't AI

Roamer: Pretty family "SUV", one of the prettiest interiors, drives just like it should, also fun to use the police variant or going offroad

1996 Pessima: I like it's design, it's good to drive peacefully with the AT gearbox, crashes nicely, sadly has little customization (performance and visually)

1988 Pessima: Pretty little sedan, good performance customization, Some visual cutomization, drives nicelly, can be slow or fast as you wish

I would like to mention T-Series also, specially with a sound mod I downloaded recently, it's fun to tow heavy stuff with it, go downhill taking care of the brakes temperature...

What I love about this game is it makes you appreciate really terrible cars. They can be fun and quirky, not safe and boring like most modern cars.

My list: Civetta Bolide, 200BX, D-Series, Sunburst, Hopper

    1. 96 Pessima, as this car looks excellent, and I have liked it ever since I created my default Pessima, reason being that it drifts excellently, and with it's nice V6, has reasonable verve. It isn't overly sporty, but it is quick and does not have much weight to lug around. Also, it is fabulous with the Florida mod.
    2. ETK 800-Series, as this is probably one of the most customizable cars ingame. With the wide variety of mods I have installed, it has 6 bodystyles, all of which suit the car's beautiful facia. Also, I adore the looks of this car, especially the way the front indicators just flow into the DRLs. The digital gauge and ambient interior remind me of an Audi, and make the experience very authentic, and fun.
    3. 88 Pessima. Arguably, one of the most customizable cars by default, and you wouldn't even be able to imagine how much with mods. It has a beautiful interior in red, and like the 96 Pessima, has verve, but is not overpowered at all. It drives fabulously with AWS and AWD, and is a tough and well handling car.
    4. 200BX. Very strangely, I have never driven the 200BX. Then why do I like it so much? I am an avid driver of the 200LX, and the new 200BX coupe.
They look especially good with an 88 Pessima front, and share their good qualities with it.
    5. LeGran. The default car sucks, but using the Soliad LeGran, I have a blast...

GM: It's a massive american sedan that's best with a push bumper and lightbar, enough said
Sunburst: The best car in game, great strength, speed and handling
I Series: The new config (kallknart?) makes it a sunburst RS competitor
SBR: Extremely original, and fun to drive.
    Pigeon: Because reasons.

Well, these results as of so far certainly threw a spanner into the works of the supposed "typical favorite cars" that are expected of car enthusiats. When I first made this, I expected the list from greatest-liked to least-liked to be like this:

    Hopper
    T-Series
    D-Series
    H-Series
    1996 Pessima
    Burnside
    Bolide
    Roamer
    200BX
    Barstow
    Moonhawk
    1988 Pessima
    Grand Marshal
    I-Series
    LeGran
    Sunburst
    SBR4
    Pigeon
    Miramar
    Covet
    K-Series
    800 Series

Instead, it has turned out over the course of a day to be like this:

    #1. Hopper, with 17 votes
#2. Sunburst, with 15 votes (and gaining fast-and-furiously on that Hopper)
    #3. D-Series, with 11 votes
#4. A tie between the Covet and the SBR4, with 9 points each (totally did not expect those two to do so well)
#5. A tie between the 200BX and the 800 Series, with 8 points each (also completely unexpected by me)
#6. A three-way tie between the I-Series, 1996 Pessima, and Barstow, with 7 points each
#7. A three-way tie between the Roamer, Grand Marshal, and 1988 Pessima, with 6 points each
#8. The Moonhawk, with 5 points
#9. A four-way tie between the LeGran, Miramar, K-Series, and Pigeon, each with 4 points
#10. The Bolide, with 3 points
#11. A tie between the Burnside and T-Series, with 2 points each
    #12. The H-Series, with 1 point

Now, for the replies to your comments:

Interesting how you went with three Gavrils and the two Pessimas for your top 5. I personally LOVE the D-Series's AWD Sport variant (it's probably my sixth-favorite standard configuration in the game). That thing is such a sleeper with its supercar-like launch and 145-mile-per-hour top speed.

Yeah, that's what I've also been noticing from this poll: People are picking the "terrible" cars that nobody in normal driving games would like (like the 1996 Pessima, the LeGran, and the Pigeon) more often than they are picking the "awesome" cars that every Forza/NFS fanboy would take in an instant (like the K-Series, the SBR4, and the Bolide). Interesting that you went with the Bolide for your #1 favorite; I thought that not very many people liked that besides me.

Well, I was implying with this list that mods would not be taken into account, but that is quite fascinating how you like the 1996 Pessima so much. I personally think that the newer Pessima is a great car as well (it's probably #7 or 8 on my favorites), as the Custom variant is such a beast through the corners for how much it weighs, and like you said, it's decently sporty without being overly sporty.

I also think that the SBR4 is a very unique and interesting car to have fun with (it's probably my sixth-favorite of the current official cars), but I don't really remember the Sunburst being particularly strong. For me, the Hill Climb and Rally variants have huge problems with their front wheel axles breaking if I turn too hard through a turn, but I still like the lower-powered versions. (No mods affecting this.) By the way, the new I-Series config is called the "Knallhart".

Great results that you all have provided so far.

my first favorite car would be the d series. ive always liked trucks as a kid and that carries on. my second would be the hopper. its got to be in the top 5. its a jeep/land cruiser after all! third would be sunburst because I like that its a impreza and I like using the cheap one and watching the hubcaps bouncing around. my fourth would be the 800 series. its easy to drive and its the only wagon in the game. I also like how when it crashes the hazards turn on. my fith would be the legran because its a big fat American 80s sedan. looks real good in police chases.

The trouble I think most people have with the Bolide is the stock gearing is way too long. When you first get in it it just feels sluggish off the line, but shorten it down a bit and it feels great.

And now, for my replies to your comments:

I didn't ask for a full list, nor did I think that anyone would want to take the time to make a list like that, so for you to have done that is quite interesting (but highly informative). As for your reason for picking the Hopper, I think that's why many people went for it in the polls; it's just so unique like the Pigeon, but unlike the Pigeon, it can actually be used in a lot of off-roading scenarios.

That's something that I've also noticed about the Bolide, but I guess that as first gear isn't really needed in high-speed racing, it can be ridiculously long and not affect the Italian bullet too much at all. I can see how it can be a pain to deal with in normal traffic, though.

You like your cars boxy, eh? So do I. Interesting that you went with cars that handled well instead of pure straight-line-speed cars; that's typically what I prefer to have with my cars, as well.

I didn't expect anyone to like the Pigeon particularly much, but I guess that it's super-fun for some people to drive around in (and the 600 version is quite the drift car).

Modern cars, I feel, are either extremely hated by some members of the community or requested so much by most of our members that it's ridiculous, but that is fascinating how you mostly picked modern cars.

    Again, some great results today.

On the lower end sunburst trims, it's rather durable. The high end variants are like paper though.

    Replies to your comments:

@Zoll: I chuckled when you said that the Caravan has so many customization possibilities. But I didn't expect anyone to pick the SBR4 as their #1 car. Hmmmm...

@Fera: True, that is what I have also experienced. The base models are almost like lighter, FWD, more-maneuverable Grand Marshals when I drive them.

@Peter: Lots of ties, eh? I see that you're a big fan of trucks, off-roaders, and muscle cars (not like that's anything to be shameful of, though; it's actually quite interesting).

@PsyCho: XD, I also chuckled at your reasoning for having the Hopper as one of your favorites.

#1 for me is a tie between the Hopper and D-series. both are off-road oriented and love both pick-em-up trucks and jeeps.
#3 is a three way tie between the T-series, Moonhawk, and Barstow.
some pics (some include old mods that aren't available anymore so don't ask)
