My Steam name was made on the same day as my forum username. I have a deep, abiding love of the colour yellow dating back to a childhood Tonka truck (and the yellow accents common to John Deere tractors), so it just seemed natural to extend that into the username. "Rusty" was added because there are a heck of a lot of steam names already taken, and I wanted one that sounded vaguely automotive and didn't require any numbers or special characters. Incidentally, my plan is to never change my avatar picture unless there's ever a vintage American big rig added as official content. In that case, I plan to replicate the existing one as closely as possible. And what about you, @Fera? What story lies within those four letters?
A long, long time ago, back in my darkest squeaker days, I used a lot of different usernames. KCarFanatic and Lucky 13 are two that come to mind. Then another came along, at that time just one more in my string of unusual usernames: Chopper Chuck, taken from a local car dealership commerical with hilariously cringey computer graphics (in which the locally-infamous dealership owner appeared in a helicopter barely one step above clipart and, as "Chopper Chuck", pinpointed the insanely good deals at the dealership in question as the source of all the traffic jams in the city). Later, because I was young and obnoxious, I decided to start trolling a My Little Pony fansite, and since My Little Pony is obviously the opposite of everything manly, I decided to manlify my username and changed it to SHOTGUN CHUCK (yes, in all caps, to be more obnoxious). That didn't actually last too long; the site admin's updates started breaking stuff on my end (my stubborn clinging to IE7 at the time probably didn't help), then I started losing interest, and then some (good but painful) life stuff happened. I made another attempt at it later, but it just wasn't the same anymore. I suppose it's for the best, though, because that site was pretty raunchy in some places. I liked the username, though, and have kept it ever since, minus the stupid caps. My name in real life is not Chuck, Charles, or anything similar. No, I won't tell you what it is.
I chose this username because. Well, I love Monster Jam, and my real name is Daniel. Simple as that. P.S It was my Sim-Monster's account's username.
On my old Computer the "R" key was always broken and it was supposed to be "Automobile Gamer" But then it was game instead of gamer, and it kind-of stuck, but I may change it to Hispanitalian (because I'm hispanic and italian)
Man. This thread made me feel old. My RoR user name was CTJacob13 when I joined. I was 13 at the time. I can legally drink in the US now :| I'm getting to old for Forum life. Jesus. It feels like just yesterday I joined this forum and I was ecstatic that this site opened. I remember the hype on the RoR forums when the thread was posted. I must be one of the first 50 registered users on this site. That was almost 5 years ago now.
My friends call me "pazzi" as an abbreviation of my surname, and "8" because when i used to play basketball i had the 8 number
My crappy mane came from that outdated short-short bed D-Series as it was my favorite mod at the time.
Canuto It originated when my friends at school told it to me.Then after a few months, that's my nickname to them. (Well,2 nicknames to be exact. "Drake Photosynthesis". Don't ask me why...) If you are from the Philippines, then you might know who that guy is.
I lost a bet and had to make every website I sign up for BombBoy4 for 5 years. That's a lot of for/four/4s in one sentence
For some odd reason, my post on that was deleted... (No dev contact, nothing. I may have actually forgot to hit "Post reply"): Fera is a name I've been using for myself for a long time. No clue where it came from. I use that on pretty much every website I'm on (With some exceptions). I actually have an issue with talking to myself, and I actually refer to myself as Fera rather than my real name. In fact, I prefer Fera.
Well, in 2012 I had to create a new roblox account since I didn't remember my old account's password... Destruct-man and Destructman (very creative names, just because I like to wreck things) were occupied, so I decided to create a account called Destructmen. So that was obvious choice for my BNG account name, since I used it everywhere. A bit off-topic, but in late 2015 my friends started calling me "solifermiäs" (solifer-man) so I changed my Steam name and some other account's names to that. Didn't bother to change my BeamNG name.
