Re: Toyota Celica (Most programming done :D)

Are you the latest member of the BeamNG Police?

You're actually allowed to use Gabe's JBeam and adapt it to fit, which is exactly what he is doing. :)

    To OP:
With that said, here's my two cents.

1: It needs a load of work done, you mentioned you changed 50 nodes, that should be atleast x5 that for it to fit reasonably well, so spend lots more time on it.

2: Credit Gabe for using his work.

3: Don't release a beta until it's beta standard, trust me I made the same mistake.

3: You should also consider the inner N/B's, you don't want it driving EXACTLY like the hatch.

    4: I am done, goodluck :)

EDIT: If the model is from the Google Warehouse, you're not allowed to use those, as Exxion said, they look the same, and the fact that your drift track seems to be made in Sketchup too?

Because if you are, it's not allowed. I'm not saying you did steal it, but just watch out if you did :)

Well, never mind about the JBeam. Sorry, I misinterpreted what others said.

Stealing is a problem with the community. The model may not have been made by OP.
Also, suspicion for this is increased because OP didn't give any info/pix of the vehicle in development.

Not to start a discussion but just as a doubt, in a hypothetical case that someone has created a model before buying beamng and didn´t took any screenshots of progress, how can that person give proof apart of the wireframe and stuff?

Me personally render out images about 20 times before I'm done with my model, to see what the colour looks like and changes that you've made etc..

When you model a big project like a car, people usallly take screenshots, unless you're one of those guys that models a car in 5 hours..

And why would you model a car for a game you don't have? If you wanted to show off you'd model the car with a much higer polycount

I'm on the suspicion train aswell, I find it strange for someone to just randomly post 1 or 2 screenshots of a car they "have been working on for some weeks"

That's the problem. They can't give proof, unless they took screenshots. Which is our concern.

EDIT: I'm not trying to bring OP down, but proof is necessary to show HE actually made it. That, combined with a few models being similar to it found around the internet (which unfortunately, looks similar, but may be different.), may prove to be your undoing. Also, other threads of people who have stolen vehicles don't show proof of them actually making it, and usually are unusually very low/high-poly and say it's one of their first models.

Hey you did some progress ther, nice :D
I think (before there are some angry members) you should credit gabester for the J-Beam and the interior.
But your Celicia looks good, far from finish, but good ;)

Well, I guess this is plenty of proof that this is original. It's pretty good, too:D. I'll delete my post.

Not bad. :D Nice to see you got the lights working.

Only real issues at the moment: When you brake, the reverse lights turn on; and when you put on the turn signals, the little orange part in the headlights doesn't work.

Whats the difference between the "TRD" version and the "normal" version?

Toyota Racing Development so probably like a bit tighter suspension and maybe more power

I haven't used this mod though

Maybe this should prove to you overachievers that you need to reserve judgement instead of jumping at peoples throats right away.

I kept my word, and he proved wrong, and I deleted(kinda) my post of accusations. He did use Gabe's Jbeam without permission, but he gave him credit at the release. And I usually don't get involved with the stolen meshs/jbeams policing thing. It just looked very stolen. I downloaded it, and, I have to admit, it is a very quality mod.
