Re: What?s your phone? HTC One X (international) Running Paranoid Android 3.65 (4.2.2) Updating it to the 4.3 variant at some point when I get around to it. (and when it gets better ) I love the Vanilla Android UI vs Anything a manufacturer can make up. Although the new Sense5 is pretty sweet.
Re: What?s your phone? Errrr.... this phone worked out how to drink beer. So I got an HTC One to replace it. Shiny.
Re: What?s your phone? I have a Samsung Galaxy Note N7000, running Cyanogen Mod 10.1.3. It also has an antenna sticking out of the S-Pen slot.
Re: What?s your phone? Sony Xperia acro S, had it for just over a year now and I've been really happy with it. Nothing much to complain about.
Re: What?s your phone? Wasnt it just the chinese fake imports that had the antenna? Mate had one, considering it was a fake clone of the Note it was a decent phone, nice price and decent enough performance. I have a sony xperia M. Hardly any storage on the damn thing but I dont fill it up anyway, I dont go mad loading my phones with apps.
Re: What?s your phone? ewwww, windows mobile phone, microsoft makes a great desktop os, mobile phone os on the other hand, just ewww, android is a much better os
Re: What?s your phone? The 808 is Symbian not Windows Phone. Nokia never made a windows mobile device Windows phone 7 replaces windows mobile 6.
Re: What?s your phone? thats what i said? all windows phone is is windows mobile with a new name i call it windows mobile, because thats what it is, is windows mobile, just with a new name
Re: What?s your phone? Nokia 808 has nothing to do with Windows or Microsoft. It's Symbian Belle, not made by Microsoft.
Re: What?s your phone? Beyond them both being phone operating systems utilizing the windows CE kernel (no relation to the windows NT kernel powering the desktop OS and windows phone 8), there isn't really any relation between windows mobile and windows phone, the 7 part of windows phone I personally think should have been dropped to avoid confusion but then microsoft are all about confusion anyway (Windows 8, Windows RT, WinRT, I personally know the difference but seems most consumers don't). The 2 are not ABI compatible, let alone API compatible. No backwards or forwards compatibility between the 2 at all. My old phone ran windows phone 7. I actually loved the OS. If form over function won out then my current phone would also be windows phone. But for me, having a nice eye candy OS that is slick and easy to use might be a plus, but if I cant do even half the things android can then its pretty useless. Windows phone has the nicer user interface but is too restrictive for my liking. API for apps was far more limited, no side loading and the store restrictions might aswell have not been there as the API wouldn't allow you to do the blocked things in the first place. But regardless. The phone above is a nokia 808 which ran Symbian. Symbian got dwarfed by iOS and android but is a pretty decent OS apparently. Linux based. No relation to android (beyond the linux kernel) and certainly none to microsoft. I'd take windows mobile, windows phone, symbian or android over iOS any day though I would then take iOS over a non smartphone which I would have over BB10 and then the older blackberries I would probably burn in a fiery hell before touching.
Re: What?s your phone? Original Droid 1. I'm on my 5th one since 2009. Rooted, overclocked, running Cyanogen 7. I refuse to buy anything newer, it's 100% perfect for me.
