    Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way that I could go into the game directory and swap out the new shading and lighting files for the old ones. I personally prefer the old look of the game. Yes I have tried to tune the postfx settings to try and replicate the old look but it just isn't the same.

For the PostFX, you should be able to do that by loading the PostFX that taken from an older copy of the game (like the DX9 0.4.0.6 on Steam).
The old one had way too dark AO.

Then there is also all the materials, which you will need to modify aswell.
The previous ones had way too exaggerated highlights.

I took the 'default.postfxpreset.cs' file out of the Documents>BeamNG.drive>settings folder on the 0.4.0.6 version of the game. Then set it back to the current version and placed the 'deault.postfxpreset.cs' file into the same spot. After going into the game and looking at the postfx settings they did not change from the latest version. Even after hitting the Load Preset button and restarting multiple times.

Are there any other files I am missing?

Edit: I just did it myself by taking a screenshot then changing the dials so they match. But the settings were WAY off. still can't find a solution

It's not just the PostFX as I said.
The lighting, materials and etc. changed as well.
Only working on the PostFX won't get you that same over-bright look.

Oh sorry about that. So if I take the whole shaders folder from the game directory steam>steamapps>common>BeamNG.drive>shaders and the postfx it should work? The folder contains all the lighing, terrain, postfx etc. folders.

Edit: Just tried that. Upon starting a level the game crashes with a fatal GPU error message. If you can, please list the files in the directory that need to be moved
