Well, the power is out, which means no water for who knows how long. Also, I dont want to lose my pc, and even though it's in a surge protector, I unplugged it. Is that safe aswell? The joys of living in the middle of nowhere :/ Update- Power is back on, and nothing is dead yet, though my raspberry Pi's led was flashing orange for a bit.

I would assume he has a well, you get your water pressure from a pump in the ground. Usually there is still some pressure left in the system after the power goes out and that can last a surprisingly long time if you want it to.

I got the last Need for Speed game while it was on sale. It was awful. EA has definitely lost its way with the NFS series. The driving was horrendous, and the story was terrible. The gimmicky live-action cutscenes were a perfect example of what was wrong with the game. Too much focus on the unimportant parts of the game and not enough focus on the actual gameplay itself

If you live somewhere with sunlight shove a couple solar panels on the roof and some batteries in a garage. That way you get cheaper electricity when you have power and have a backup when you don't.
