Re: What does everone have under the hood? VSync sometimes adjusts down a notch if the FPS is rather erratic, so lets say his FPS was fluctuating quite rapidly between 50 and 79, VSync might just give up and instead of alternating between 30 and 60 will just lock to 30.

Re: What does everone have under the hood? r u avin a laff m8? HD 4000's are amazing, they're almost as good as anything AMD has done embedded(and thats just a scaled down GPU bonded into the same package), the exception is being 100% compliant with new standards.

So, I was wondering why people are able to get their bus speeds with the same CPU as me much higher than I can go and that's when I realized that the BIOS has no CPU voltage control and the voltage control in AMD Overdrive doesn't actually change anything.. Google shows that others get this problem but I couldn't find any solution. Help.

I'm ordering up an amd a8, a really cool asrock mobo, a seasonic psu, and some 1866 ram tonight edit: actually amazon keeps thinking I'm from the UK so now everything I bought is more expensive than I though (pound to dollars) and it's out of my price range. dickbutt edit: now I have an a6 3.9ghz (will for sure upgrade later), a gigabyte mobo, and 1600mhz ram.
Re: What does everone have under the hood? 1: The CPU and motherboard were given to me. (Nothing else) 2: It should have CPU voltage in there. The manual doesn't say anything about it being off or something, just what it does. - - - Updated - - - Try and get an A8 if you can. 1866 RAM isn't needed for a gaming setup. My 1600 RAM is overclocked to just below 1866MHz on stock voltage.
Re: What does everone have under the hood? what? you want extremley high speed ram for an apu setup, so this logic makes no sense as higher speeds of ram, = better gaming experience(provided were still talking about apu's, if were talking about a normal cpu, such as an intel cpu, or amd fx series or something like that, then 1333mhz is fine (although, 1600mhz is also pretty good))

Oh please don't go through Amazon for PC components, they turn out to be much more expensive and sometimes don't come with warranties (Plus there is a chance that they could be broken.) Go through Newegg.com or ncix.com, they have different weekly deals and offer excellent warranties and services. I bought all of my parts from Newegg and spent $400 less then what I would have through Amazon.
Re: What does everone have under the hood? you obviously havent shopped on amazon on a while, either that, or amazon hates you ive never had any of these problems with amazon, they always respond instantly to any support questions i have, and, everything comes with warranty's, and as for the chance that they could be broken, guess what, there's a chance of that no matter where you buy it, amazon is the complete oposite of more expensive (provided its amazon themselves who are sellling it, and not just some other seller, in which case, those prices can get rediculous, for example, the evga SC gtx 760 with acx cooling, was $249.99, amazon ran out of stock, so they switched the main one to a diff seller (temporarily, until they get more stock of course) and the new seller was selling it at like, $280, so that should be the only reason its ever more expensive

Here's an example of what I was trying to get at: Rosewill Challenger on Amazon- $80, 1 year limited warranty. Rosewill Challenger on Newegg- $34 on sale, 3 year full warranty Core i5 3570K on Amazon $234, on Newegg $210+ a copy of Windows 7 25% off. Now Newegg won't have these deals show up on their website because it isn't the Back to School special, but they do special deals every week that Amazon doesn't. I don't hate Amazon, I did save $10 on shipping a nitro rc car compared to NitroRCX's $26 shipping, but some things are a bit more expensive when you go through Amazon. Where the heck did you find an EVGA GTX 760 2Gb for only $150, "Mr. integrated graphics card pulling 350 fps in Minecraft"?
